There are plenty of good folks who work on Wall Street. There should be a protest at the Federal Reserve, as they are a better recipient of the blame aimed truly at just a small handfull of corps that receive free moneys.
I'm a capitalist 100% but these people on wall st have engaged heavily in fraud with derivatives, high frequency trading and literally buying our congress as well and being part of a revolving door system between Gov and wall st (or Goldman Sachs lol). It's not people who lied on mortgages who caused this mess it's the corrupt unchecked nature of wall st and their cronie buddys who are gaming the system and screwing the American people and the world.

Indeed the main problem is the Federal Reserve and the monetary system that feeds into the Washington Reps and Dems who are for sale to push us all into a deeper hole

These people are protesting in the wrong place. They should be occupying the fed. They are trying to kill a snake by cutting off the tail, when they really should be trying to cut off the head. The fed enables crony capitalism.

HAHAHAHAHAHA I changed my mind. Stay far, far, far away
We don't need to stay away just be tactical about it and don't wear Ron Paul gear. This is positive non violent protest, almost any protest you go to whether it's an end the fed rally, Tea-o-con party event or other protest anymore those people you don't want to associate with WILL SHOW UP. Your essentially saying protest is dead in America??

Again, not quite sure why people here are slandering 'hippies'...

I am a longhair musician artist rock and roller myself but I do not hold their views. I finally understood why after this series of articles

This is the first of 19 current parts of his research. Draw your own conclusions why I am not impressed.

There is a joke that is quite true in my experience. How can ya tell hippies have been at your house? Your fridge is empty and the sink is full of dishes.

Best Regards

I dont quite understand what these folks are protesting. I dont have a problem with Wall Street, my problem is with Washington. I wouldn't show up to this because it seems like a confused waste of time to me.

Hahahaha who do you think controls Washington???

Funny, I don't remember doing any of that.

I'm not referring to the floor traders or brokers when i say 'Wall St.' I know better so do you. Its the AIG, Goldman, JPM, and Citi executive types and the revolving door in places of power that I'm referring to when I say 'Wall St.' We're living in a plutocracy, a world run by corporations, think tanks like Rand co. and organizations like the CFR. 'Wall St.' isn't the cause but it's a major problem and its easy to begin a conversation about with regular people. We need to protest 'Wall St.' and the Fed in our own way in separate events so that when things collapse it's not the occupy 'Wall St.' commie leftist crowd that people turn to when they lose their 401k and their home. We should be their able to direct their anger in the right direction, monetary policy, out of control fractional reserve banking and systemic fraud and abuse (derivatives etc.)

Enemy correctly identified.

I hear ya my man. As a regular schlub trader, I've been getting lumped in with the very people I hate myself for a while now. Sorry for being presumptuous for assuming you were making a blanket statement. Truthfully, most of the traders I speak to on a daily basis (that number has dropped significantly) are Ron Paul supporters. We see the nonsense that goes on constantly. actually, we see more of it. Cheers, and apologies again.

LOL I just went into their IRC channel and asked "is it true that many of the protesters are Ron Paul supporters?"

And withing literally less then 1.5 seconds I got four responses saying Yes many are Ron Paul supporters.

edit: if anyone wants to talk to them here is a link to the chat irc channel:

So how do you feel about Tea Partiers demonstrating in front of Fed banks?

The Tea Party should not support it at all. They should take it over if anything.

I have spent the better part of the last 6 hours looking into things and I am so far not impressed.

Their chat room is pathetic, but I am not certain how well representative of the group it is.

It appears there are merely a few hundred full timers at most.

The weekend brings out an army of weekend warriors.

6 hours is not a lot of time I admitt, but so far I am worried this whole thing is in danger of becoming a bust.

Many of them seem to acting like its a party on Venice Beach in California.

I observed a great deal of immature talk and a chronic lack of understanding of what is going on in the world and in this country.

Worse still I am hearing talk that I find very troubling.

I'm guessing these protesters want even more government "oversight."

Perhaps this is CIA staged.

I don't know if that is necessarily true. Someone asked in another thread the following question, I responded below:

So if these folks were to unite and form a party, what would their party be called?

It's funny I was actually thinking about this before. If it's true that Ron Paul is supported by many of the members of Anonymous including those that support it's communication chat, forums and helped to organize this event and may have borrowed some of the ideas of motivating supporters through the V for Vendetta and Remember the fifth of November symbols and visuals as we did in 2007 this becomes an interesting observation.

And if it is also true (as we know it is) that Ron Paul grassroots campaign in 2007 was somewhat directly responsible for the creation of the Tea Party.

Then what has happened and maybe in the process of happening is that Ron Paul and we on this forum are somewhat involved at least in the creation and development of these sub groups already, but that they have begun to stray from the message and have been and are in the process of being co-opted by the forces we have been fighting against on both the "left" and the "right".

Anyway to answer your question and if my assumptions are correct then we have produced two sub culture political groups from the 2007 campaign that have been based on two of our most important fund raising dates. In which case the names would be.

1. The Tea Party
and
2. The Fifth of November Movement (Anonymous)
