See what I've done so far http://ObamaVPaul.com

This is a work in progress. Please help with suggestions on new material or changes. I'm having trouble sourcing some stuff so help me with that too.

edit: I made some changes as per the suggestions on the first 3 pages of this thread.

no tips sorry, but thank you so much for making this site, it needs to be addressed!

Great idea, I would change some of the obama stuff. Instead of no monetary policy i would put, "Supports Fiat Money." Also, don't lie about his tax policy, as i'm sure he as one. Maybe add a healthcare column

You should put links in it so that it takes the user to legitamite sites that prove each statement. People won't believe any of the statements unless who show evidence.

Here's some suggestions...compare the record:

Obama:
- Voted for the Patriot Act
- Voted for funding the war
- Wants higher taxes
- Offers almost no change at all (no change in foreign policy, monetary policy)
- Wants bigger government
- Wants the troops to stay around the world
- Will keep troops in Iraq until 2013
- Has no real principles
- Has no real experience

Ron Paul:
- Strict constitutionalist
- Voted against the Patriot Act
- Voted against funding the war
- Voted against raising taxes (20-year congressional record)
- Wants to abolish the IRS
- Wants smaller government
- Has 20-years of congressional experience
- Offers the most change out of any candidate

Add second amendment positions, and immigration maybe? I'd say add abortion but democrats seem to like killing babies, and lets face it the *only* way we could win in the general is to cannibalize some of Obama's supporters.

I'd love to see a collage of Obama saying "change" like Giuliani with his September 11th tourettes.

I've been reading about his abhorrent abortion stances but I thought it wouldn't help to get Obama zombies over to us (unless I add some abortion photos)

Not exactly the best touting that Obama doesn't have "experience" (I use that term loosely.) I believe showing that Ron Paul actually has a record is better. We need to show his public service and let everyone know it compared to Obama's lack of it. Show the fact that Obama has an awful attendence record, show the fact that Ron Paul has introduced legislation after legislation that Americans can relate to and agree with.

A section about titled What is real change? would be very good.

EDITED #4:

I like how you have the main page set up. It's nice and clean. Adding a whole bunch of different sections to the top and links to other websites on the bottom would be good. In addition to the "What is real change?" section. I have two more suggestions, a "How different would America be under an Obama Presidency?" and "How different would America be under a Paul Presidency?"

EDITED TO ADD: Remember, CITE sources. Back up claims, don't say something without proof. Show dates, videos, articles, whatever. The more the better.
EDITED TO ADD#2: Remember to add "As safe as possible" to Ron Paul bringing troops home. We don't want Paul to be looked at as reckless.
EDITED TO ADD#3: Capitalize "PATRIOT" in "PATRIOT Act."

Remember to stay unbiased and present FACTS on your website.

Remember, we need to win the Republican nomination first. "Voted against funding the war" is not going to go over well with Republicans.

This Obama campaign is quite remarkable. He's pretty much asking people to blindly put faith in him. The sad thing is it seems to be working. I have one wish in life, a general election of Obama vs. Paul. Paul might convert the whole country in one debate

That doesn't usually convince anyone. It just gives people who already disagree a reason to attack you.

+1......That's what I'm trying to achieve somewhat.

You need sources for all the information on there.

If you are really trying to convert people, don't make it so biased towards Paul in my opinion. For instance the green text on Paul's side and the red text on Obama's. Obama fans will automatically be turned off by the website. Remember this isn't for Paul fans, this is for Obama fans. Don't make Obama look like an idiot on there. Let the positions and words speak for themselves.

There's no need to smear Obama.

"- Has no real principles - Has no real experience"

Its untrue and sounds hateful. Detractors of RP could make the same silly statements and they sometimes do. Its untrue, and anyone who doesnt support a candidate can say them.

Obama inspires with his eloquent speeches. RP is not a great public speaker, he's too intelligent for that. Lets not invite that comparison.

Also, and this is very important, I would change the Obama picture to be something fair to him. He has way more supporters than RP generally, you want to convert them not insult them. How do you like it every time the media uses a slanderous photo of RP? You will not convert supporters with hateful imagery of 'their guy'.

Be respectful and stick to issues. On issues and ideas RP is extremely competitive.

I didn't use the photo because he looked bad, I used it because he is opening his mouth.

Change the photo. It looks terrible. Please consider what I said above too.

Don't make this website biased towards Paul. If anything make it biased towards Obama. We need to convert people rather than stroking our........egos.

I agree with what Birdlady and RichardC are saying. If it looks too biased toward Paul, then readers will constantly be questioning the accuracy of the things mentioned, and will make fighting their own cognitive dissonance harder.

The more fair you can make this comparison, the more Paul will stand out as being right on the issues, and the website will have a much better conversion rate, which is the real goal here.

The more fair and honest you are the more effective you will be. People are tired of tricks and can see them from a mile away. Go out of your way to be totally fair in your presentation. This shows you respect the visitors and you have confidence in Paul.

I would dedicate much to the CFR connection. Good luck.
