Obama Wins Nobel Peace Prize?

I just found out:eek:...turned the tv on, heard John McCain just about choking when Wolf B asked him if he thought he deserved it which made me :D Then i thought "I'm going to enjoy RPF this morning" and i did. Funniest to me was "my dad's on suicide watch."
So who's surprised? We live in topsy turvy land where words speak LOUDER than actions.

Parents of dead kids in Pakistan must be thrilled. Yes my choice is Dalai Lama too who Obama was too gutless to meet.
 
Ha! Again, is this any surprise? Nobel means jack fuck all. Look at Economics. They give it out to people like Krugman, and people like Rothbard doesn't get one? Mises, doesn't get one? Hayek had to wait 40 years to get one? It has always been about giving it to the best shill.

They will no doubt alter the poll if it gets hot enough for him to show up on their website.

"Let me be clear: I do not view it as a recognition of my own accomplishments, but rather as an affirmation of American leadership on behalf of aspirations held by people in all nations. To be honest, I do not feel that I deserve to be in the company of so many of the transformative figures who've been honored by this prize."

What exactly is "affirmation of American leadership on behalf of aspirations held by people in all nations" ?

How does this work, when he also states: "I do not feel that I deserve to be in the company of so many of the transformative figures who've been honored by this prize" ?

So he agrees that he doesn't deserve it, but somehow it shows that American Presidents are fit to "lead" on behalf of aspirations held by the world's population?

Does he ever choke on his own bullshit? Nobel committee isn't off the hook either for ruining the credibility of their prize.

I think all credibility was lost when Woodrow Wilson received the Nobel Peace Prize lmao.
 
It took to Dubya's third term to win it. Glad they came around. :D

This is stand alone proof that the prize is a joke.
