Obama Orders Amnesty for Millions

Pretty bad when even the slightest criticism has the establishment media in a frenzy of back pedaling.

Ah well, such is the history of empires.

They are wearisome things, and eventually, the empire dies due to a lack of enthusiasm, more than anything else.

Was good run while it lasted, and we can't say we were not warned.

We erred in publishing cartoon

http://www.indystar.com/story/opini...sgiving-cartoon-immigration-opinion/19408509/

On Friday, we posted a Gary Varvel cartoon at indystar.com that offended a wide group of readers.

Many of them labeled it as racist. Gary did not intend to be racially insensitive in his attempt to express his strong views about President Barack Obama's decision to temporarily prevent the deportation of millions of immigrants living and working illegally in the United States.

But we erred in publishing it.

The cartoon depicted an immigrant family climbing through a window of a white family's home as Thanksgiving dinner was served. I was uncomfortable with the depiction when I saw it after it was posted. We initially decided to leave the cartoon posted to allow readers to comment and because material can never truly be eliminated once it is circulating on the web. But we are removing the cartoon from the opinion section of our website, as well as an earlier version posted on Facebook that showed one character with a mustache.

I'm willing to say that if it's actually the case.

Then by your logic Latino illegal immigrants are racist by being the majority demographic group of immigration law breakers.

Well, fuck. We're trapped between libertarian naivety and statist arrogance.

All political theater. Nothing at all has changed, and it all comes out after the election. This is setting the table for the next election, and we'll see more of it.

Most of the illegals who cross the border are opposed to libertarian views - irony, I know. They are chasing the incentives offered by the welfare state. I dont know anyone here who thinks we can continue with the welfare state indefinitely, or at least nobody here I know can argue that the current system is sustainable. So what we end up with is a whole bunch of people who are opposed to liberty, residing here during the collapse - who will they side with when we rebuild?

I dont agree with open borders, at least not with our current situation. I do believe that its wise to allow for lawful immigration, and that our laws are pretty f'd up, but I cant understand how anyone would see an open border at this point in time to be a good thing. That is, unless one wants to hasten the collapse. The system is unsustainable as it is, and libertarian advocates of open borders are just "feeding" their future opposition.
