I was just reading obama's foriegn policy stance on his website.

Ok so, remember a while back when Obama threatened a pre-emptive attack against pakistan? He defended his remark by saying a president should never take any option off the table.

Well on his website, in regard to iran it says this :

"Obama also introduced a resolution in the Senate declaring that no act of Congress – including Kyl-Lieberman – gives the Bush administration authorization to attack Iran. "

So now he thinks it is a good idea to take the only possible legal option off the table? He didn't even show up to vote for kyl-lieberman. Why the hell would he try to restrain congress in this manner, when we have already seen that the bush administration doesn't consult with congress regarding it's military actions?

None of this adds up. I passionately hate obama.

I don't hate obama .. i've watched hour and hours and hours of his debates/speeches and still have no clue on his stance on anything.

These are things where his "change talk" is only telling SOME of his views and people eat it up like IDIOTS. I hope all the obama dipshits realize soon what a horrible mistake they have made.

you are manifestly wrong in your understanding. He believes that the President does not have a right to declare war, nor does he believe that the congress gave that right to Bush....

Not likely. Many of us are very well informed. Perhaps the majority are moved.. I'm more interested in Obama's actual beliefs and stances.

If they want a clear conscience they should write in Ron Paul, or vote for the Libertarian candidate.

If McCain wins, and it's because you didn't vote for Obama.... that is not a clear conscience. Give the man a chance... anyone is going to tell me that Obama is not smarter than Bush, and Bush had no experience, except several failed businesses and a State that executed the most people in the history of the Country.

Think about it.

I'm a liberal. I won't vote for her over McCain...at that point, I will throw my vote away to the Libertarian Party.

I dont think I am wrong, although I suppose it is open to interpretation.

The legislation he introduced would have stripped congress of its constitutional power to delcare war. It would have taken *every* option off the table, whereas in regards to pakistan he said *no* option should be taken off the table. The man cant make up his mind.

Kade is right. This is not saying "congress cannot declare war," it's saying "congress shouldn't shift the 'authorization' to the president."

It's not throwing your vote away, imo. People are usually pretty impressed when I tell them I vote libertarian as most of them have no idea what it is and want to hear more. You inspire people to NOT be sheep.

i think that the OP is hugely misunderstanding this legislation. like paulitician said, this is meant to remove congress's ability to shift their war-declaring powers to the executive branch. that delegation of authority is unconstitutional and this bill seeks to change that. the executive branch does not have the power to attack.

and i think this is the first time i have defended obama on anything.

He appeals to people with insomnia, puts me right to sleep everytime..

If Obama is TRULY "for change" and the "peoples candidate" then he needs to address the Federal Reserve FRAUD.

Dennis Kucinich wants to abolish the FED which has been the source of most of our problems since 1913.

But Obama hasn't said anything about it, if I am not mistaken.

Never Mind Obama Sucks big time

Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama won the endorsement of former Federal Reserve Chairman Paul Volcker.
