Iraq is a different story. We were discussing Israel and the production there is minimal, it really doesn't matter.
The contract is worth billions.
It may be minimal in the size of things and after all of the waste, billions doesn't have the same ring but it is still,
billions.
What people would do for a couple thousand dollars is shocking. What people would do for billions of dollars is nothing short of predictable.
Compared to what the profits are, the lobbying is a pittance. It's rather pathetic how little our politicians actually cost in the scope of things.
We aren't going into Syria to seek revenge for gassed children. Same as we didn't go into Iraq to seek revenge for gassed children. (the gas we sold them, I'd add) It is to keep the possibility of war open and justify the outrageous DOD budget. It is to keep the corporate welfare flowing, the contracts coming, and the profiteers profiting. It isn't in our interest, or Syria's interest, or humanity's interest to do what we continue to do year by year, decade by decade.
Whether or not it is a republican or a democrat, they are playing you. They are robbing you. And they are killing in your name. I see posts of Obama can't do this because democrats won't get elected in 2014 or 2016. It is absolutely absurd to think he, or the people behind him who literally control the show, give one fuck about which party gets in or doesn't. The contracts will keep coming. The blood will keep flowing. And the people will keep being propagandized to see hope next election time.
Short of Rand Paul getting elected president in 2016, which is a big if considering who owns NBC, FOX, and the power they wield, not one thing will change. They'll give you a crumb of freedom here or there, scale back mandatory sentencing, relax federal marijuana laws, but the actual things that matter, foreign policy, economic policy, and this police state apparatus will not so much as be defunded one penny. When I say they live in palaces I am not exaggerating or speaking out of line. Billions may seem trivial when trillions are up for grab. It's still a billion dollars.
