NY GOP candidate Carl Paladino blasts homosexuals

"I didn't march in the Gay Pride parade this year. My opponent did. There is nothing to be proud of in being a dysfunctional homosexual. That's not how God created us, and that's not the example that we should be showing our children - and certainly not in our schools," Paladino said

He should STFU about this. Only a homophobe would think this way. Homosexuals are born that way, and they shouldn't be ashamed for who they are. To say you have a problem with homosexuality being taught in school is one thing, to say you have a problem with a gay pride parade, and homosexuals in general is totally something different.

He didn't say the dysfunctional remark. He crossed it out on prepared comments he gave to a brooklyn jewish group. Paladino did not agree with the dysfunctional comment, so he ixnayed it. Somehow it made its way out to the press and they've jumped on it.

Again, Paladino this morning on the Today Show with Matt Lauer said that the dysfunctional comment attributed to him is factually inaccurate.

He says he has gay people working on his campaign, and would hire them into his administration based on qualifications. It seems like his point is he wouldn't take his kids to the NYC Gay Pride Parade. I have seen it. I do not blame him.

That and he would deny equal rights to a law abiding section of society based purely on sexual preference.

I don't think Gays should use government to indoctrinate our kids. Other than that it is non of our business what they do.

I think what he said is his own business, however I disagree with it and think it i s horrible. As for my kids, i don't want them indoctrinated to hate gays.

It's fine to think being homosexual is not the right way to live, just like eating McDonalds 3 times a day might be viewed as incorrect, or smoking marijuana as being immoral. It's only when you cross the line and demand that government force be used to enforce your morality on others that I get concerned.

I wish these tea party candidates would STFU about gays, abortion, and religion and focus on liberty, repealing the PATRIOT Act, Warner Defense, abolishing the IRS and the Fed, ect. They'll drive away independents who don't want govt in their personal lives.

And I wish people supporting liberty would stop trying to turn away as babies are killed, people's views on gays are forced upon Christianity and worry less about ideological purity on obscure issues that don't win elections . (Example: Rand Paul, the pro-life, anti-gay liberty candidate who's leading in the polls).

I don't want public schools to teach kids about homosexuality, period. Nonsense like that is why so many Christian parents home school their kids rather than sending them to public schools.

Yeah, I just saw the video. Unbelievable that every story that the media proliferates these days is a lie. As much as I distrust the media, I didn't think they would have been able to get away with the lie this long. I'm back to supporting Paladino now since those words were not his.

well, were you born bi-sexual and chose to be heterosexual or were just born heterosexual?

You ask that as if being born something or else choosing to be it exhaust the possibilities. Hardly any behavioral thing is that simple (in fact, I'd wager that none are).

either you are born that way, or you choose it.
if sexuality is a choice, then you must have chosen yours like they have chosen theirs.
all you bi-sexual freaks denying your nature. ;)

either you are born that way, or you choose it.

That's absolutely ridiculous. And it's almost amazing to me that you could actually articulate it that way and still think it's true.

Would you say the same thing about alcoholics, people who are obsessive compulsive, people who are attracted to kids, people with short tempers, picky eaters, and so on?

so, you were born liking pussy, but someone else couldn't be born liking dick?

Where are you getting this? Have you read anything I've said? Because this isn't even remotely a response to the words of mine you put in the quote you're apparently replying to.

Are you still working with the premise that a person is either born that way or else chooses it?

And does it really make sense to you that someone is attracted to sex organs of either sex on the day they're born?
