"I didn't march in the Gay Pride parade this year. My opponent did. There is nothing to be proud of in being a dysfunctional homosexual. That's not how God created us, and that's not the example that we should be showing our children - and certainly not in our schools," Paladino said
He should STFU about this. Only a homophobe would think this way. Homosexuals are born that way, and they shouldn't be ashamed for who they are. To say you have a problem with homosexuality being taught in school is one thing, to say you have a problem with a gay pride parade, and homosexuals in general is totally something different.
He didn't say the dysfunctional remark. He crossed it out on prepared comments he gave to a brooklyn jewish group. Paladino did not agree with the dysfunctional comment, so he ixnayed it. Somehow it made its way out to the press and they've jumped on it.
Again, Paladino this morning on the Today Show with Matt Lauer said that the dysfunctional comment attributed to him is factually inaccurate.
