im hoping GJ can get in the debates and keep the message alive. i want to hear an alternative to the bullshit two party rhetoric-and let the public know there is an alternative and that they don't have to settle for dueling war-mongers. because both romney and obama are so disliked by so many...this could be a coming out party for the libertarian party-im voting GJ.

It's important to support G Johnson with our votes. If we can get him in the 8-10% range, it will be a huge message to the establishment and the rest of the electorate.

How exactly can my "strategy blow up in my face"?
Listen, if Obama wants to be re-elected, he can do it without my help! Romney and his RNC thugs may have screwed over Ron Paul and our team, but Obama has screwed over my children. There is NO way, zero possibility that I will help Obama get re-elected! Never. Not to prove a point. Not for some strategy that may or may not have an effect. Not to inflict more damage on Romney. It's not going to happen. He can win on his own - without me.

Romney won't be any better, I know, but I cannot reward bad behavior just because I don't like the behavior of someone else!

There is wisdom here, sadly.

It may come to that in NH, it's polling close.

I said this in another thread, but I'll say it here again:

The Mittens campaign has obviously given up on getting the liberty / Tea Party vote. They're hoping at this point you'll do something like sit at home or vote for Gary Johnson or Ron Paul. Honestly, they lose nothing that way because they always figured that as a group we were lost.

If you want to give the Mittens campaign a kick in the balls, AND more importantly keep the slate open in 2016 for an Amash / Paul or Paul / Amash ticket, everyone needs to vote for Obama. Period. Just look at the numbers: A conservative count of the RP / Liberty faction of the GOP is about 10% nationwide. That means that if as a block we shift to supporting Obama we move the total percentage about 5%. Think about how many swing states can be denied to Romney if there is a 5% swing in the popular vote! As a group, we can pretty much guarantee that Romney will not be elected. Right now, that is my #1 goal. GJ is not going to be president, so it's down to Obama and Romney. I have reasons to want to see Romney lose, even if I don't have any reasons to see Obama win.

Please give this serious consideration.

Everyone has the right to make their own choice as to how they will vote in this election. But I truly believe abstaining from voting plays right into Obamney's plans. We have a chance to make a coordinated effort to shake up the usual R and D dominance. As write-ins are not counted in my state, I will be voting Gary Johnson come November. I know many of you will want to write in Ron Paul and for good reason. However, if I had my way, all of us would vote Johnson and send a legitimate message to this country that we aren't going to accept the status quo anymore.

Romney won't win no matter what you do. All of our single votes are worthless. Your vote, nor my vote, will decide anything. May as well use your one vote to give it to someone who you actually like. People who say "I would be wasting my vote by voting for "X," miss the point. One vote is worthless and will never decide a Presidential Election. Heck, even in Florida in 2000, there were several hundred votes that decided the election. Thus, if one person changes their vote, it doesn't mean anything.

I would like to look back on my life and say that I voted for the best candidate and that I never voted for the lesser of two evils when I had a choice. When the country is in shambles in four years, I would like to be able to say I did not support the man who had a hand in creating the mess. I do, however, respect your decision to do whatever you want to do.

It's a matter of conscience.

This.

I have a hard time understanding how those of us whose eyes were finally opened could, in good conscience, vote for either establishment candidate. Voting for Obama to get back at the RNC is no different from voting for Romney; they're both just puppets for the same establishment. If Romney wins, they win. If Obama wins, they win.

I'm writing in Ron Paul, but I also understand - and support - those who vote Gary Johnson or any other decent, honest, non-establishment human being for that matter.

Ron Paul would endorse Johnson if it wasn't for Rand. So it's Johnson as the obvious choice.

Have you considered that this is what they wanted all along? They don't care if it's Obama or Romney, why should you?

I won't vote in this election and it's possible I will never vote again for the Presidency.
