November 5th Money Bomb!

As we see, the best states are the ones Rand has been making trips to.

Wow, that's awesome, great work.

It's cool to see that the best are the western states that he's made trips to, and are important early contests. So his trips are paying off.

I've been curious about Oregon for a long time. I've had a feeling he was doing well here but haven't seen actual numbers to back it up. I was watching the ticker feed during the money bombs and thought I saw decent amount of OR. And I've had a bumper sticker that I put up for sale in 2012 and notice the OR people that buy it.

The map with pins and state coloring is really cool. That would be great to share during the money bomb to add extra motivation. Not only do you get your name on the ticker, you get a mark on the map and can help your state. I think that would be enough to get some people to go from no donation to even $5 just for that.

Thanks for taking the time to collect and organize all that data. I can't +Rep you right now so I owe you one.

I noticed that this one is more popular than last one (Constitution Day monb.). People are sharing avatar picture and are more excited about it.

Not only is it anti-establishment, it's a classic theme already used before successfully, so there's some nostalgia to go along with it.

I may be able to get a decent estimation of $ per donor, or at least $ per state, which would add an extra dimension to the graph above. I already have donors' cities, so it is possible to geocode in real time to a web API and/or serve to a mobile application. During the moneybomb, the color of each state on the map gets darker with increasing $$ from that state, while pins can be added to the map for each donor's city like:

This is old thread. Can we move this discussion over here (to keep it active and maybe even more people will join):

Thank you, +Rep

Barrex is right, the new event has already taken off in the first couple hours organically.

Every like, comment and share on the Facebook images helps boost their reach and gets it shown to more people and will be very appreciated.

I like the idea, but just to give constructive criticism it seems a little funny doing a 5th of November, V for Vendetta inspired event with a grizzly logo and then feature a colorful, smiling picture of Rand in the background.

If we had more people working on it we could make more different styles. At the moment less than 5 people are making content for this moneybomb.

Anyone who can make videos, pictures, gifs, apps etc. is welcomed to help. Any kind of help is welcomed.

I and other moneybomb organizers are easy to reach and will provide you with anything we can to help you with promotion of this moneybomb.

Count me in. What do you need?

Yes, you're right.

One part is that there isn't a huge amount of photos of Rand to choose from that are high enough quality and the right size to be able to use. Almost all of them are from Gage, and from him speaking at an event.

I could have done a better job though... tried to find one with a more straight face and adjusted the coloring. But I made that in a quick hurry to get something out when it launched, so at the time it was either that or nothing.

I'm searching through photos of Rand right now so going forward they should fit more with the overall theme.

Note: Merged in posts above from CPUd, Barrex, Jackie Moon discussion regarding graphs/map for the Fifth of Nov.

I noticed the number of donors per state roughly aligns with the population of the state. I was interested which states had a disproportionate number of donors, so these plots below show:

(rank by population) - (rank by donor)

Population was determined by the July 1, 2014 estimate here:

As we see, the best states are the ones Rand has been making trips to.

Update:

Few programmers/app developers (whatever they are called) said that they will see if they can do something to promote this moneybomb.

We are slowly starting to promote it.
