The clanker has clearly been programmed with the hedonic theory of inflation. My computer display is $400 but that's OK, because it's four times as many pixels as a computer display 15 years ago, so that's 0% inflation (or even negative inflation), even though I'm paying literally twice as much for a lower-quality Chinese-manufactured POS with bogus color fidelity and randomly won't extend my laptop display whenever the wind-direction is South-Southwest. But hey, it's super-advanced math stuff that my little pea-brain can't comprehend, it's called hedonics, bro.
