Why does every other book list a release date except The Revolution? Why has The Revolution been being sold in stores for the past two weeks, when today was the first day it was supposed to be available?

Statistics to make the NYT bestseller list start today. They do not include how ever many books were sold prior to today.

Most book stores only have about 1 copy of the book in stock, because they sold the others before they were supposed to.

It will be interesting to see the rank in a few days and next week, then we will have a better figure of how well it's selling to the general masses after this initial launch period (and e-mail blast Ron sent out to his entire list of over 100k supporters).
