I heard about What3Words for the first time this morning. It's Being Actively PROMOTED by local and states across the USA as a 911 system.
That so-called outage a few days ago was a fvcking REBOOT.

Why should anyone believe that, after "they" create Skynet, "they" will remain in control of it? The sheer act of creating Skynet proves that you are a dunce of cosmic magnitude... the chances you can retain control over it, afterwards, are exactly zero.

What they've really done is open the mouth of the biblical Abyss. They'll figure it out eventually...

heh... this is only the second time I've come across the What3Words system. The first time was a little over a year ago when signed up for a navigation race. "For Safety" we all had to have the app installed on phones, etc. I normally don't take a phone with me, but in this case I figured I'd play along -- I was visiting from out of state and figured I'd be a good guest. My phone was too old for the app so at check in, I'm like "can't install it, can I just take down some phone numbers or something?" The 60s-ish aged guy looks me over and asks, "you know what you're doing, right?" and I said, "yes." He said, "that's just for the kids and newbies, go have fun."

If anyone is curious, this was in the deep south.
