North Dakota: You Rock!!!

have you guys noticed that the states with low population densities tend to have a higher percentage of support?

"I think our governments will remain virtuous for many centuries as long as they are chiefly agricultural; and this will be as long as there shall be vacant lands in any part of America. When they get piled upon one another in large cities as in Europe, they will become corrupt as in Europe." --Thomas Jefferson to James Madison, 1787. Papers 12:442

with 98% reporting it looks like 2,013 have voted for Ron Paul.. umm.. according to the new reports and eyewitness accounts there were over 1,200 at the rally there? .. so.. were the vast majority of Paul supporters in the state at the rally? Or were all of those in attendance students who voted absentee to their home state or not at all? Just trying to figure this out.

21% is awesome.

Isn't Fargo on the border of Minnesota? There could have been a lot of Minnesota supporters there.

This is a regional war, libertarianism's stronghold is the inner mountain west. Anywhere that Romney does very well (outside his home states) Paul does very well too because they are both from the limited government wing of the party. Huckabee is the southern social conservative wing while McCain is the military and moderate wings (NE).

We're more sophisticated than we get credit for. :)

Sorry we couldn't deliver 1st place...we were pretty bummed about that, but there were a lot of people working their butts off up here for months.

Eric you guys did great, you secured five delegates for Ron Paul and they're going to vote for Ron Paul at the convention. Thanks for all you did!

This Northern Tier is our best showing yet. Minnesota 16%, North Dakota 21% and Montana 25%! Also 19% in Maine and 17% in Alaska.
We need to ask what accounts for our particular success in these states? That they all border Canada? That northerners are more self-reliant?

with this in mind we should do well in Washington and perhaps Oregon. I think the North is more independent thinking.
