"No Kings" Protests

Reason number 291,376 why "we" can never organize.

The "It's a government honey trap you fools!" guy.

Reason number 988,645 why "we" can never organize.

The "I'm comfortable and happy and well fed. Why can't you guys pipe down and be comfortable, happy and well fed too?" guy.

If I thought the government needed to be overthrown, which I don't, I would be a lot more effective than the dude with horns on his head then the dude who took a selfie at Nancy's desk.

It was a show of power, both to them, and to us.

For us to accomplish anything, we first have to know our strength.

Had a red voting family member attend local protest. (speakers were set up in front of police station in town) lol

pretty large turnout. apparently no shennanigans, just good ole freedom of speech & peaceful dissent

They all act like Kings with over use of Executive Orders imo

Lol - if there is ever a civil war, these are the opponents???

Did you ever find out what the common/underlying complaint was at that protest? I'm still trying to figure out what the common denominators are, their responses were so conflicted/varied [shrug].

Example:

Trump is a dictator, he's shredding the Bill of Rights!
Trump is a dictator, he's not going far enough to get rid of the invaders!
Trump is a dictator, he's screwing with my Medicare!
Trump is a dictator, Medicare needs to be more "efficient"!

I didn't go, I don't know.

Folks don't like this President. I'm sure large majority are angry Democrats.. same group that always hates on Republicans in charge.

But there's a growing group of Republicans who feel same

It is what it is.

From my perspective Trump has basically lived up to reasonable expectations of what any rational person could have expected him to do.

There's not really a rational basis to have supported Trump in 2024 and now call him a tyrant or a "king".

any "republicans" who feel that way are being led by the nose by the leftist propaganda machines

your loyal & happy with him, that's cool, but there's 10's of millions of republicans with their own minds & take

Rand Paul & Massie are doing great in my mind

There is an explanation for this phenomenon atleast according to historian H.W Brand.

Some people will simply always be against the establishment no matter what because being against the establishment is their only guiding philosophy.

"Ever since the days of the French revolution, the political left has meant critics of the status quo. The political right means defenders of the status quo."

What this means is that if you elect a president that changes the status quo a lot of people who were for changing the status quo will become against the very person they elected because that becomes the new status quo.

Oh, is that why Republicans all fell in love with Biden and Democrats all hated him at the end?

Botblather aside, his third grade bully The Apprentice persona was all well and good until he turned into a RINO and started bragging about helping start WWIII. Now suddenly people are getting buyer's remorse, and wishing there was an adult in that position.

Im not saying this accounts for every person but then again thats not what this poll suggests.

The people were polled and they voted with their feet.

If 1 or 2 % of a people protest its not really an angry majority. Just a vocal minority throwing a fit.
