Urgent help needed!
Kevin Landrigan of the Nashua Telegraph predicted that Democrat Lee Nyquist will beat Republican Sen. Andy Sanborn in an upset by 50.5-49.5. Sen. Andy Sanborn was a co-chair of the 2012 NH Ron Paul Campaign. Sen. Andy Sa
nborn was endorsed by the 2 other co-chairs on the 2012 NH Ron Paul Campaign. Ron Paul donated to Sen. Andy Sanborn.
Andy HELPED us, let's return the favor. Please volunteer to stand at the polls on Tuesday for Sen. Andy Sanborn.

Here is the prediction. http://www.nashuatelegraph.com/news...ognostications-on-who-will-be-the-states.html

State Senate - District 9 - General
12 of 14 Precincts Reporting - 86%
Name Party Votes Vote %
Sanborn, Andy GOP 14,671 51%
Nyquist, Lee Dem 14,112 49%

Update:

State Senate - District 9 - General
14 of 14 Precincts Reporting - 100%
Name Party Votes Vote %
Sanborn, Andy GOP 15,478 50%
Nyquist, Lee Dem 15,225 50%

So Sanborn won, but there will almost certainly be a recount. 50-50 is way too close for comfort.

Just so long as he keeps the win, then we have to shore it up.

He's a liberty guy. I think it is time to lose any tea party label.

West lost and Bachmann is struggling.

This is great news folks. Remember, Andy would not have won without our help and he knows that. Thank you everyone who helped make his possible victory.

As for the Tea Party, I'm pretty sure NH is mostly post tea party. Being called the tea party candidate will likely still help for several years in some Republican primaries but it's not a good strategy for general elections anymore.

Our efforts made the difference!

Recount: GOP’s Sanborn defeats Democrat Nyquist by 213 votes in state Senate race

Recounts can be a painstaking process. During yesterday’s Senate recount, more than two dozen people tallied tens of thousands of ballots by hand in the research room of the State Archives under the gaze of Democratic and Republican observers.

Secretary of State Bill Gardner personally examined any challenged ballots and mediated disputes among the observers. The recount lasted nearly 12 hours, from 8 in the morning until 7:30 at night.

After the Nov. 6 election, Sanborn had 15,478 votes to 15,225 ballots cast for Nyquist, a 253-vote margin of victory. Sanborn won big in the town of Bedford but lost Peterborough, New Boston and Jaffrey.

After the ballots were counted again, Sanborn had 15,454 votes to 15,241 for Nyquist, a 213-vote margin. Most of the change came from Mont Vernon, where the recount awarded two fewer votes to Nyquist and 41 fewer votes to Sanborn.

“Small-business owners, taxpayers and those struggling to get by every day can rest easy tonight,” Sanborn said after the results were finalized, “because with a Republican majority in the Senate, I vow to vote down any increase of any tax or fee in the state of New Hampshire. And I’m sure my Republican colleagues will join me in that effort.”
