NEWSPAPER AD: last minute push: You in or out??

I'll donate $25...that's all I can afford (and I really can't afford that...but WTF)

Scaled down version. I have it at 8x11" @ 300dpi.

I like the picture with the flag background a lot better. More "presidential" looking.

What will the print specs be? Will it be 300 dpi at that same size?

It depends on what the publisher wants, but the one I worked up here is currently 300dpi at 8"x11".

I'd love to see other people's ideas for this. :)

We have to remember that RP's name recognition is still a problem. How about, instead of all the stuff at the bottom, "Vote Ron Paul in the Ames Straw Poll" or "Ron Paul for President?" That the image was made from pictures, etc. is evident. Dont y'all think? (But thanks for fleshing it out, '76. It makes it real.)

I swore I was going to get to bed at a decent time tonight. I've been getting no sleep because I'm up on these forums so dang late. Hitting it now.

Edit: a LOT more than a thousand. I'd just skip that part. You can see that it's a lot of people.

I don't have a base pic with the flag background at a good enough resolution to make a pic this big. Also I like this one better, make him look less like a career politician.

'76, let's at least have it as a hand-out at the Straw Poll. Who here is in Iowa and can get it printed? I'm coming down Friday, too late, though I could check some printers here in the morning. What would it cost roughly for 5,000 full-color copies?

I think it's important to let people know where the pictures came from. Plus, anyone who sees this ad and then sees his name on the ballot at the straw poll should be able to make the connection.

I love the concept. What struck me is that if the top caption says:

We the People are Ron Paul!

or if it had a top caption of

Who is Ron Paul?

and underneath,

Together, We the People are Ron Paul!

My thoughts there...
