New vid is up - Ron Paul : Don't tread on me

Hahaha ... the Aerosmith is a little bit much. :) The part where "i'll take you backstage you can drink my glass" was amusing... :)

Great job!

A bit too fast on the second readable quote...

And minor point...
Maybe you could realling a few of the quotes where the bottome line of the paragraph includes only one word...just for aesthetic purposes.

You're my favorite video poster! - that's why I'm even mentioning these minor things ;)

Great video! If I could critique anything, it's that the quotes flow by pretty fast. Other than that, great video, audio, technique.

Very nice!!

I thought the Aeromisth was going to be too much, but it actually fit perfect. Your wife is genius!!

Truly inspiring...I've just sent an email to many friends with the link. Should see more traffic there...

Keep it up!!!

Stunning video, if everyone in America saw this there it would be no contest.

For reading speed, aim for 150 words per minute. That's the reading speed that is often used for subtitling of kid's programming. (A reading speed max of about 240, or four words per second, is used for adult programming.)

What is this water running from my eyes? wow. I'm speechless. you have a gift, my friend. fantastic work and thank you so much.

Congratultations!! That´s the best RP video I have seen and nails what he stands for perfectly. The music was spot on too.

I know the quality of parts of the video wern't perfect, other than that and the speed of the subtitles, Was there anything else that needs to be paid attention next time?, or was there anything that just downright sucked?

I thought the video was fantastic. I almost teared up a little. I said almost!!!:D

Well I liked it personally, but I'll offer some constructive criticism if I might.

The music is a bit much "preaching to the choir" if you will, keep in mind that I loved it, but I can't show that to my parents. The hard rockin' might go over ok, but the "shakin' your @ s s" line? haha, no way.

That's why the "Stop Dreaming" one was so good, anyone, especially the people we need to bring into the movement, would enjoy listening to American Pie.

I think it's the problem a lot of RP vids have. Too narrow, preaching to the choir. It might fire us up, but doesn't help bring in a wide spectrum of people.

But did I mention I liked it?

If you ever do another one of these I'd have someone who liked country music reccomend a classic country song that fit well with Paul's message. (I don't like country, so I couldn't help there!)

A good rock song I'd reccomend for another possible RP vid is Bob Seger's "Feel Like a Number" I think that one fits pretty good with Paul's message of iberty.

(Bob Seger..Feel like a #)

I take my card and I stand in line
To make a buck I work overtime
Dear sir letters keep coming in the mail
I work my back till it’s racked with pain
The boss can’t even recall my name
I show up late and I’m docked
It never fails
I feel like just another
Spoke in a great big wheel
Like a tiny blade of grass
In a great big field
To workers I’m just another drone
To ma bell I’m just another phone
I’m just another statistic on a sheet
To teachers I’m just another child
To irs I’m just another file
I’m just another consensus on the street
Gonna cruise out of this city
Head down to the sea
Gonna shout out at the ocean
Hey it’s me
And I feel like a number
Feel like a number
Feel like a stranger
A stranger in this land
I feel like a number
I’m not a number
I’m not a number
Dammit I’m a man
I said I’m a man

It was very well put together. The titles were a little fast, especially for people to comprehend the ideas. The music was a great choice, but I would fade them out a little farther in advance when you are cutting to a speaking sequence.

I am wondering where are you getting the footage from? Youtube? What software are you using to edit it? If you are getting it from Youtube are you converting to avi before you edit? There really is some great techniques in there.

Thank you for your great work. You've inspired me to release another video.

that video was very good! the best one so far IMHO.

i just emailed the link to about 50 people!

I, too, would like to know how/what you are using to edit those and how, if I decide to make something too, can one get a YouTube video of, for example, Ron Paul's appearances on TV shows, down onto my HD and in a format like avi or QT for editing.

It would be wonderful if you could share some tips...

I know there are Firefox plugins and this site http://www.videodl.org/ that allows you to download the videos. But they are usually flv files and not avi.

I use Premiere Pro CS3, but I just got it and I don't know if it can import flv files directly.

Oh, I just tried it and Premiere can't open flv's directly, but if you rename the file .avi then it comes in without a problem. Cool.

Now I need to get busy. The reason why i hadn't made more videos is because I was struggling for stock footage. Now I can use YouTube. Not the best quality, but it will do.
