New vid is up - Ron Paul : Don't tread on me

xcalybur, this may be a boneheaded question, but I can't seem to download any video from YouTube. At Google Video there is a download button, but I don't see anything at YouTube. Could you explain?

Youtube and Google Video embed the videos in the webpage. You have to use a utility to get it out. If you go to the video you want to get and copy the URL. Then go to www.videodl.org and paste the URL in the box. Click the box to get the file and a couple seconds later there will be a link below the box that says Download or View. Click download and you can put the .flv file on your computer. .flv files are flash video files so I rename the file .avi instead and I can then play it on my computer and import it into Premiere.

I love the vids that aravoth is making, very inspirational.

But I do wish some of these vids could be made to jerk a tear in someone 65-70 years old, you know folks that have money to donate.

slow down the captions where an older person has time to read and absorb what is being said, set to music that will strike a chord with them, not just us.

A video of the same great quality that aravoth is making, targeted to the people we need to target, could be a huge help.

Congrats aravoth, as of 2300EST your latest video has received twelve honors. Most notably, "#8 - Top Rated (Today) - All". Keep up the great work, I cannot wait until you are on the campaign payroll!

Another nice job Aravoth,

I still like the Stop Dreaming video best....

It's obvious your video editing skills are top notch....very professional...

I still hope if you read this post you will consider creating another video using the Grateful Dead's Throwing stones song......all devoted to Ron Paul's stance on foreign intervention and the costs we have accumulated in Iraq...

I love the Eisenhower quote....Nice addition...

Keep up the good work.... :)

Bahh. Hpofeluly it wnot mtater. Scnie poelpe can raed tinhgs eevn if if the wrods are jmulbed.

In this case hopefully they mistake an r for an n and don't notice it at first glance. :D

Bravo aravoth!

Your videos have been invaluable as an introduction to people who have never heard of Ron Paul before. I started my brother off with Stop Dreaming and he liked what he saw, researched it some more, and a day later is now "sold" on Ron Paul.

The RP campaign so far is utilizing the Internet to great effect, and the support is evident. What we all need to do now is bridge the gap between the Internet and YouTube with the less connected individuals. The obvious solution is to take media from the Internet and burn dvd's-- lots and lots of dvd's. Then hand them out. You can buy a 100 pack for $20 bucks if you look.

Winning the Internet is not enough. We have to win the real world, and somehow bring what we all share here, to the everyday people.

To that end, if you have a high quality master of your videos, I think it an excellent idea to post them on bittorrent, so that I and others can make high quality dvd copies to hand out to friends, family, and others.

PS: To those wanting to download YouTube videos, I've found Vdownloader to be extremely helpful: http://www.softpedia.com/get/Internet/Download-Managers/VDownloader.shtml

This video is FANTASTIC!!! (in the informal definition of the word, that is!)

When he says maintaining our foreign military operation is approaching 1 trillion dollars a year I can see one of the other candidates nod, which one was he? Time marker at 2:00

I'm pretty sure that was Rudy Giuliani, which makes absolutely no sense at all unless he wasn't listening to what Ron Paul saying. But yeah, the guy is next to Romney, so it would appear to be Rudy.
