New Rasmussen SC Poll [10AM 1/13/12]

So SC is an open primary, eh? Let's bring a landslide of independents in again. Is that possible?

lets get RP in office first...then bring this stuff up if you still want... I'm down for just about any alternative views/ideas...but have some hardcore evidence... you can't see anything in the woods, bigfoot looking clip, the clinton clip he was obviously mocking, and the nixon clip doesn't prove what goes on and who is there... lets keep this and the area 51 stuff out for now..

Uhh...well once he is in office, who would care about Newt at that point? This isnt some bs story or some truther theory or whatever, it is blatant facts. It's been out there for decades and written about by many prominent publications. There are pics with Newt and others in attendance there, and other members of the media who have blatantly admitted that it exists. The Nixon footage doesn't mention anyone else, right, true. HE MENTIONS HE WAS THERE..Sheeh..Not to mention Alex Jones' story showing it take place on camera (and no, that part doesn't even need to be mentioned, it's just a bonus).

So yea, i dont see how that is 'area51 stuff'. Do you not understand there is a large evangelical/christian base in SC? If they were made aware of this about Newt, he is DONE, case closed.

Makes sense, he's the only guy talking about making real cuts to fedgov.

C'mon, SC, live up to your fine history -- "Don't Tread On Me!"

If (big if) ARGs cross-tabs are correct, SC evangelicals don't want a mormon or a catholic. If RP can pull that vote from Newt, it's GAME OVER in SC.

The South Carolina Money Bomb starting tonight at Midnight should really SHOCK the Media and Pundits into realizing that Ron Paul is SURGING!!!

Please try to DONATE Tonight in the first hour of the Money Bomb!!!! It is critical to move the TICKER as high and as fast as possible!!!!

Now Ron is a lock for being bashed at the debates for his foreign policy views. He's got to have his most effect counter-arguments ready, because South Carolinians are very sensitive to perceived slights to the military.

IF he can do what he did during his NH speech, and make his views sound appealing to pro-military folks, he can do what I never would've thought possible in South Carolina -- have a strong showing.

Well there is no doubt about it that he gained some upward momentum after NH. Best thing we all can do is spread the vid of Santorum, along with reasons about how is showing his true colors about what a phony catholic he is and how easy it is for him to make light out of death and be 'happy' about it.

Also, spread this about Newt, this here could seriously knock him out of the race, and he would be truly finished once all the evangelicals see what a demon he is:

Some dude is trying to get it to go viral and reported it to CNN:

With ties to the most bizzare shit that would turn off any evangelical or christian, as well as Santorum and the Sandusky crap, it will show Paul is the only choice for them....we can do this for sure.

Not probably going to happen on a large scale my friend. My in laws are the epitomy of Israel First Evangelical Christians who support Gingrich to the hilt. They are BIG pro lifers on the abortion issue. If me showing them Ron's speech at CPAC he gave on abortion over Christmas didn't convince them of his credentials, then this probably won't either. They could show Gingrich in a photo with Alistar Crowley and these people would dismiss it. The power of cognitive dissonance is mesmerizing.

Of course I realize this is just anecdotal, but it sure does hold true to the trends I've been seeing during this election.

Gingrich beating Romney (if not winning outright) could be great for Paul. Romney is seen as unstoppable. If Romney is proven vulnerable to the GOP base and the media, then that leaves the top slot open for Paul. He is already a strong second.

If the Paul campaign were going to run Romney attack ads, now would be the time.

Yea, well here is the kicker. To do that, RON NEEDS TO START TALKING ABOUT HIS FAITH MORE, something he doesnt go into detail enough and i think it has hurt him a touch. He doesnt bring that side up a lot. I remember when he gave a speech at Value Voters (forgot where that was) he talked about some really awesome things in the bible, about why we shouldnt have kings, why we shouldnt clip coins, quoted a bunch of stuff that the bible says we should live by that tie right into his real world policies, it was great stuff. The campaign needs to start going down that road here. He would easily get the attention of those people. I am not all that religious, and i even found it grabbed my attention and made perfect sense in how he explained it.

But yea, this is why Santorum surged in IA, even though the media humped him to do it. Him and Bachmann had a large portion of them voters, and it was basically because they played that card. Ron needs to start playing that card. He does it well and is more than capable. What makes him unique is like i said, he ties those beliefs and precepts of the bible, perfectly into government law. Backmann and Santorum just pandered and spewed hot air mostly about themselves, not how it will help the country as a whole and actual governing.

You dont' have to be a republican to vote in the primary, AND this poll is only "likely republican registered voters." We could be well ahead of this. w00t

Could explain the 4 point difference to ARG.

Wow, good point. He could be in third place all alone with the indies/dems. So damn, SC allows EVERYONE to vote!? Shiaaat. This is gonna get interesting.

This, combined with continued buzz, as well as Ron Paul actually in the state, along with soft endorsements from SC power brokers, factoring in the bloodbath between neocons, Ron Paul can win South Carolina.

I'm starting to think the same thing. Newt is going scorched earth on mittens.

I thought a few days ago maybe 4th, but now 2nd or 3rd is looking likely and 1st isn't impossible.

It's amazing how well Ron is doing.

i mean, we have to be ahead of this because you know SOME democrats and independants will show up. and a lot of them are young people. plus there is margin of error =D. and undecideds =P

It has historically been more important for the Republican Party than for the Democratic Party; from its inception in 1980, the winner of the Republican presidential primary has gone on to win the nomination.[

This could be Newt's last shot at stardom, so yea, he is going right after the top guy. This is exactly what some here wanted us to do, but hey, no need to bother, let Newt spend his money. The enemy of your enemy can be your friend sometimes :D

Dunceman and Bush 3.0 should be gone after this too, and possibly Newt.

It doesn't say "republican registered", it says likely "republican primary voters" as in voters who are likely to vote in the republican primary. That's the way I read it.
