New Rasmussen National Poll

All this means is that you have to go out and try to get ONE more Paul supporter. One. That's all.
If everyone did this, our numbers would double.
So do it.
Please.

I don't know the details of this poll, but in general Ron Paul polls very differently depending on the age group predominately polled. Therefore, there will likely be more turbulence with Ron Paul poll numbers than with other candidates, even under honest circumstances. This fact can easily be exploited by corrupt pollsters. That is the reality. I personally like the direction this campaign is headed, and can't wait to see crooked polls exposed when the real election numbers come through.

ya it is clear that his horrible answer in the debate hurt him....as soon as he said it any1 with a brain on here knew the Neocons were going to kill him

I wouldn't read too much into this poll, this company never favors RP.

However, the doesn't change the fact that Dr Paul needs to get better at marketing his strong points; and lucky for him, he has many.

For example, that hypothetical debate question of medical insurance/let him die should have been answered as 'No I would help direct he or she to charitable organizations in the private sector that can help them. Let's not waste time debating hypotheticals when in real life the Obama administration and my opponents on stage here tonight do not respect the lives of our armed forces men and women with their military advertures that cost the tax payers trillions. If you want to save lives, take them out of unnecessary wars that put them in harms way in the first place.'

Try and boo that response.

It has been 4 years and people are still claiming the polls are rigged because they aren't showing the results we would like to see. C'mon folks, get out of your sterile liberty bubble and get out there and talk to Republican voters!

at last RCP drops Palin from the polling list and we are distant third on RCP averages...which sounds about right. the bad part is that the media is going to push for the "two-man" race theme...we got to get up to about 17% or within single digits behind second...

Yes reality stings a bit guys, but you have to wake up and smell coffee, this election isn't just going to be handed over to Ron Paul you are going to have to fight for it. There is much to be done, are you serious about getting Ron Paul in the Whitehouse? Then check this thread:

Agreed, it's great to see Paul in an honest 3rd. Need some kick-ass polls, we're going the wrong way. And they way Gingrich is spiking has me concerned.

Paul's support almost always varies up and down according to the amount of each age group polled. Anyone get the crosstabs? Id be willing to wager the younger crowd was about 5% of the entire sample.

This. The way polls like these are conducted, is that they poll people they consider "likely to vote." And by "likely to vote," they mean old people, and people who have voted in the past.

I've never voted in my life. I never before had a reason to vote. I'm sure the same goes with many here, and across the nation.

Fuck what the polls say, their demographics are wrong, and we're going to prove it.

I don't think Ron will change how he delivers the message, and I think we gotta stop trying to coach him because it makes him nervous and degrades his delivery. Just let him work the podium, and let us work behind the scenes to spread the message.

Right, Rasmussen and PPP poll Likely Voters, not Registered voters. They are also both robocall polls. They are always controversial. Just take it as a data point, don't get all upset.

My biggest problem with this poll is that the swings for Ron and Gingrich are too enormous. We know that very few likely or registered voters watch the debates. It doesn't make sense.

But the soundbites get played over and over, discussed all throughout the media until the next debate. Not to mention word of mouth from people who do watch debates

He's polling at 6% in this one, but the last one released (USATODAY?) had him at 13%?
