New Racism Scandal

The leader of the Republican Party in the midst of the largest spending increases in recent memory, spending increases that can be described as a drunken sailor, refused to provide proper assistance to black American in the golf coast. This happened during and after the Katrina disaster.

No ghost writer can be blamed. George W Bush continues to neglect the rebuilding of the gulf coast. And his lack of outrage regarding the response to these victims, SMACKS of racism.

Oh this not really new is it? Well the coast is still not properly rebuilt. The harm to race relations in this country is impossible to measure. Will there be future blowback because of this disgusting response from a big gov't so called conservative? Probably.

Are the democrats better? The democrats take the black vote for granted year after year, and have they helped the black community?

If you have zero tolerance for stupid racism, why are you going to support this party at all?

Did any of you hear Ron Paul support Romney against Mormon smears? Ron Paul was defending his opponent, obviously this is religion and not race, but it sure makes Paul look good.

When they say Ron Paul is the first Civil Rights Leader of the 21st Century. I still believe it.

When Ron Paul says he did not write the newsletters, I believe him.

Do you really believe this crap? Over 130 billion dollars have already been spent on Katrina recovery (almost $74,000 per person affected by the disaster), and more money is being sent to the region every day. Hell, the federal government is even picking up much of the tab to rebuild the homes of those who had no insurance. And there is no race test to determine who gets the money, so your race-baiting barely-literate nonsense stands exposed for what it is.

If you want to be outraged at somebody, start with New Orleans Mayor Nagin and Gov. Blanco, the state and local "leaders" who fiddled, ran like frightened rabbits, and pointed fingers while New Orleans filled up like a soup bowl from Katrina. Save a little of your outrage too for those too stupid or lazy or unprepared to get out of said soup bowl even after days and days of advance warning.

Bush indeed has his flaws and shortcomings. But the amount of our money spent on Katrina victims and Gulf Coast infrastructure is not one of them.

All of the racist stuff in the letters were done between 1990-1991 only not over decades like Cenk says, and there were only 4 things I saw that New Republic pointed out mostly involving attacking MLK.

Ron Paul voted against president Reagan to have a national MLK day.

I don't think you read the post.

This is classic projectionism and a bad idea, as someone yesterday pointed out when someone suggested trying to go after other candidates.

Projecting racism off oneself and onto others is not going to change the direction and is a weak idea. It's obvious, people will see it right up front, and it serves no purpose.

What the campaign needs to do, is really address these issues. The press release was pathetic, at best, and shortly after, was questioned because Dr. Paul's signature was on some of those documents and even worse, his personal comments were in them.

I see what you are saying, but in all fairness to the Chimp, is he really in charge of rebuilding? Doesn't almost everything Paul stand's for is reducing the feds role and returning this responsibility to the people?
