New PPP Florida Poll

That's a large part of the problem here in the land of the old and retired. So many do not have internet. Their "research of the idiots" is based on what Hannity and Limbaugh spoon feed them.

i understand what you mean, but come on our youngsters who support ron should be showing their parents and grandparents the internet.... why is this not happening?? if i went to my father and said dad, i would like for you to vote for ron paul and show him the internet, then say, "dad i will be depending alot more on the future then you will so please vote for ron paul, my father would 10000000 % vote for ron paul! im 36 years old and i have converted my mother father and grandmother. why cant the young voters for paul do the same? i dont get it?

I truly believe the debate was framed to make romney and gingrich look bad to siphon votes from them two and give them to santorum to assure a Paul 4th

Its become quite clear that the general electorate has no use for logic, critical thinking... It's sad really that our own citizens are so easily manipulated.. This is 100 pct proof that our education system is failing us.

Glass 1/2 full:

2008 - 62,887 - 3.2%

If we get 12%, thats another QUADRUPLE increase with little/no effort by the Campaign.

Edit: The Grassroots and PAC's in Florida have been AMAZING!

My focus. We are increasing. This means that they are decreasing.

Ron hasn't been campaigning heavily there.

The long haul.

Their kids and grandkids don't live here. Most of the old people here came here from somewhere else to retire. The old and retired hang out with theold and retired.

The bottom line is, if it is not that they are Hannity bred war mongers, they are of the group lead to believe that Paul is going to take away their SS and medicare. Many old people are more insecure and feel safer with lots of order, structure and regulation. Freedom is scary to many of them.

Florida is Large state to cover made of many different large cities, lots of remote "country" and many diverse sub cultures. Without the campaign here doing speeches and rallies and getting themselves in lots of local press, it is tough for just the grassroots to reach them all.

I am not giving an excuse for why Florida appears to have it's head up it's ass. More of an explaination for some of it.

i appreciate your response, and i agree with you. I still believe they can call them if they arent in the same area and at least try to convince them to vote ron paul.. i have to also keep in mind that although we get the young vote, the youngsters simply dont show up to vote and if they themselves dont show up to vote, i can guarantee you that they are not convincing their older family members to vote for paul.

I just saw my local ABC news coverage of where the candidates are stomping this weekend ( They covered a Paul rally in Maine of him speakin about liquidating the debt).

At the end they said a recent poll has santorum last in the pack for Florida. I couldn't catch the name of the poll. Hmmmmmm

It could be as Newt implodes his supporters are going to Santorum. I think it's safe to say many of the GOP base are simply not winnable, which is why states like Florida are best skipped. Paul does best with young people, independents, and the poor in all exit polls so far. The demographics in Florida are not helpful for Paul.

One big problem. You can't win the GOP nomination without appealing to those demographics. Let's pretend that Ron does win Maine, Nevada, North/South Dakota, Idaho, Montana, and Minnesota. How many delegates is that? 100? Maybe 150? Texas alone is worth that many delegates and we're in fucking last place! There has to be a change in the leadership of this movement because it's looking more and more like an educational campaign. Note to everyone: we don't have until 2016!!! Everything is being moved into place for the final revolution; the lines are being drawn in the sand now.

While gathering my needed signatures today:D I had a neighbor tell me that Ron isn't on the ballot in florida.

Needless to say I set him straight but the media damage is horrific.

I also had to correct the Rand/TSA event because he was sure that Rand was angry, refusing any security, and insisting that he was saying I am a senator.

I don't really view it as a problem since I always viewed this as a movement since 2008. It's about creating a movement for liberty. I never thought Ron would win the nomination. I'm campaigning and donating and doing all I can, because I believe strongly in the message and trying to reach as many people as possible, but I don't think this is the end of the world for the movement. I also think it's best that Obama wins the general this time (which he likely will) over a fake like Romney, because if Romney or someone like him co-opts the liberty movement the establishment will have no reason to reform. This is why I think NOBP is the best thing the movement can do.

Always look at the age breakdown:

http://www.publicpolicypolling.com/pdf/2011/PPP_Release_FL_128.pdf

Q16 If you are 18 to 29 years old, press 1. If 30 to
45, press 2. If 46 to 65, press 3. If you are
older than 65, press 4.
18 to 29........................................................... 6%
30 to 45........................................................... 16%
46 to 65........................................................... 42%
Older than 65.................................................. 36%

Romney - 38
Gingrich - 29
