New Poll Rasmussen

They only poll GOP, and this was right after the smears, remember?

And yet we're fighting for the GOP nomination...?

It seems pretty clear the GOP doesn't want us. GOP association also hurts us with independents and potential crossovers. We will need them to win the election. I would like to see Paul split with the party early, while he is high in the polls and has the momentum. It would create a media frenzy. He can take a principled stance against the party of Santorum, Bachmann, and Gingrich. Without our support, the GOP is finished.

I also call BS. Santorum is a whining idiot, about as interesting as a flat Diet Coke. And GOD KNOWS, everyone hates Romney. Maybe they got their Favorables and Unfavorables backwards.

It shows that people let others think for them. Then they wonder why things are not as good as they could be.

Just curious, but would you be saying this same thing if Ron Paul had won in Iowa and saw a surge in polls as a result? Or would you be saying that his recognition in Iowa caused more people to look into his policies and support him?

I guess the GOP doesn't want to GROW if they don't want the Indies and liberals joining their party, not to mention YOUNG PEOPLE.

DIE, GOP.

Funny how they FAIL TO MENTION that RON PAUL ALONE BLOWS AWAY THE FIELD for Independents, WHO DETERMINE ELECTIONS.

And if the GOP is finished, it wouldn't matter to Rand. Would it? HAHAHA.

The results are real within the Republican Party primary voter and it needs to be addressed by the campaign immediately. If not, Paul is going to get killed in the closed primary states. And everyone in here is going to be scratching their heads wondering what happened.

Let me try to say this again... These types of national polls are irrelevant. What matters is the state by state polls. Why even bother worrying about these national "polls", they are probably more of a propaganda tool than an informational/factual tool.
If the national polls were so important, or relayed any sense of importance, why did Dr. Paul nearly win Iowa, and is now on the verge of a very strong second place in NH?

I totally agree. I don't get this BS lie that if Ron runs as an Independent that it would hurt Rand.

After this election I am probably changing my party affiliation to Independent or Libertarian. I have awoken and the Republican Party is part of the two party criminal system that we are freaking stuck in. Total fraudsters when it comes to limited government and real conservatism across the board.

This country needs to start thinking three dimensional to be saved and the answer is Dr. Paul running as an Independent. I do think Paul should stay in the primaries for a bit while to see if things do change then cut his loses and run Independent as "the change president against the establishment and the status quo." Heck, he is already pulling 17% nationally as an Independent in one poll - a better number than he is pulling in closed Republican primaries.

Some are not paying attention. Over half of Paul's votes came from Independents (25% of the votes - Paul got half or 12.5%) in Iowa. That is why Paul almost won Iowa and why Paul is in a strong second in NH. Take out the Independents and Paul didn't come close to winning Iowa. I count 27 States with closed primaries and many more that are semi-closed.

Yes, of course they're irrelevant. But when they're the ones that the MSM is pushing on the sheeple, they BECOME relevant.
