IOW: We should just defer to the Karens, so they won't get upset.

(The problem with that, of course, is that "stupid liberals" will always "freak out" - and Karens will always get upset - no matter what you do or don't do. It's in their nature as narcissistically domineering control freaks.)

Provoke outraged "pushback" against flagrantly unlawful gun-grabbing (which you know is likely to be struck down in court anyway), while using that "pushback" as diversionary camouflage for establishing the practice of issuing draconian and dictatorial "emergency orders" in the name of "public health" (which goes unexamined by the courts and others, and just sort of flies by under the radar).

It's really quite a deft and clever shell-game move.

Whenever there's a police shooting that the public has deemed as "unjust" or "unethical," the state and local governments never blame the weapon(s) involved; they go after the cops who were potentially guilty of an offense.

However, whenever a private citizen is involved in a shooting that the public has deemed as "unjust" or "unethical," the state and local governments always blame the weapon(s), first. Clearly, we all see there's an agenda to confiscate firearms from citizens by incremental policy, even if they have to do it under the guise of "public health" or "emergency."
 
Its grounds for impeachment, but has to be done legally.

They will always use the Hegalian Dialectic (Problem, Reaction, Solution) as an EXCUSE to take away your rights.

Hey look two kids got in a fight at school. Therefore Law Enforcement will immediately remove everyones HANDS because HANDS cause violence! HAND VIOLENCE is the greatest threat and has created an emergency, therefore everyone will have their HANDS forcibly removed. Its a HAND EMERGENCY.

Edit: Something else to note is the Propaganda of "GUN VIOLENCE". This is called an Associative Brainwashing Technique. By saying one of the paired terms, the other word is immediately recalled. As in my example of "HAND VIOLENCE", if you hear the word HAND you are supposed to recall the word VIOLENCE.
