New Hampshire revisited....How the hell did we do so poorly?

The voters were uninformed. A lot didn't know about Paul and his message. The grassroots can only do so much before HQ needs to step in. He didn't spend enough time and money there. I'm not saying he should have though. A lot of voters are not as dumb as people here think they are. They just don't know about Ron and his message.

We did poorly in New Hampshire because many New Hampshirians don't mind having the IRS around, many don't care about all the Americans and Iraqis who are dying in the Iraq war, many female New Hampshirians would love to see a woman president, many black New Hampshirians would like to see a black president, many New Hampshirians don't care about the loss of their civil liberties, etc. In short, they said no to all the benefits of a Ron Paul Presidency and everything that Ron Paul stands for.

We SCARED old people.

Totally wrong way to campaign. Older folks vote in huge numbers in the primaries.

I was just checking out freestateproject.org, and in the top left-hand area of the home page is a screen that scrolls through highlights of various policies in the State of New Hampshire. I cannot square how a state with the policies listed on that page could have gone less than 10% for Ron Paul.

What is the damn deal? This goes hand-in-hand with another thread I was just reading here in General Politics. It was in regards to how so many people can be anti-war and still vote McCain. How could the people of New Hampshire have a man like RP right in front of them, who seems to be such and hand-in-glove fit with the mindset of the people of New Hampshire, but less than 10 % of them actually voted for him?

I know we've moved on from NH, and there's no point revisiting it, but it all just really hit home for me when I was reading that information on the freestateproject page. Why couldn't we even do well with the very like-minded voters of NH??? I can only go back to the "voters are stupid" argument. It's all just a popularity contest, and the actual positions of the candidates matter not.

1. I met quite a few anarchist campaigning for Ron Paul that refuse to vote.
2. phone calls ticking off people due to so many groups buying lists and calling, some not respecting what time it was in NH.
3. invading other campaign rallies with RP signs instead of going covert and under the radar and doing 1 on 1 talking
4. preaching to the people door to door, there is a video from the Guardian UK that has this guy spouting all the sections of the constitution for 5 minutes to a lady, if you can't get them in the first 30 seconds you are a goner.

you don't have a clue from what I can tell that wasn't the case at all
