He has to reach double digits. I think that he absolutely can do it, but it's going to take a very focused effort.

Solidly in 5th in IA for this poll. How close to making the debate?

He won't get in via NH unless he polls about 15%, Bush is too far ahead. 2 or 3 more Iowa polls that look like this could get him in.

Note, I originally had IA and NH switched, what is there now is correct.

Candidate you would refuse to vote for in November:

Trump 20%
Bush 14%
Cruz 11%
Rubio 8%
Rand 7%

Trump is a loser in the general.

Iowa is looking promising. If Rand can beat or tie Bush he's in the debate. The problem is they never said which polls they would use. I don't think they've ever used Gravis, Loras or KBUR. So I think Bush is barely beating Paul for 5th in Iowa. Another poll with Rand trailing Bush by 1 and they would be tied I think.

That's why I'm not terribly worried around Trump yet. His voter base is vocal and bigger than one would expect. It has very little room to grow as it is exclusionary by its very nature.

How do you see which polls they used in the past?

The one they posted this morning on the COX News Sunday had him above Bush in Iowa.

For the first Fox Business debate they only considered 4 polls: Fox News, Investor’s Business Daily/TIPP, Quinnipiac University, and The Wall Street Journal/NBC News.

That age disparity is ridiculous. It's good that Rand does well with young people but wow, 16% under 45 to 2% over 45... Freaking old people!
