New Congressional Candidate

The new boundaries – drawn after Ohio lost two of its 18 House seats due to slow population growth -- split the city of Toledo between three districts. The 9th district, which has been represented by Democrat Marcy Kaptur since 1983, will extend east from Toledo all the way to Cleveland.

The move pushed Kaptur and Dennis Kucinich – who represents the Cleveland suburbs in what is currently the 10th district -- into a single district, forcing a primary battle between the two Democrats.

I'm not sure if I would support "Joe the Plumber" over Dennis Kucinich. I'm sure he is just as economically illiterate as Kucinich, but probably supports war. At least we get the anti-war help with Kucinich.

Kucinich is running in the 10th district, he's running in the 9th. He might be a hawk and stupid on economics, but he can be educated. The guy does have name recognition, which really helps and if he's OK with our platform, we could give him a ready made campaign complete with supporters. That would be hard for a candidate to pass up.l

Lets find out what he thinks about RP and his positions.

Agree about wanting to keep Kucinich

I don't know where Joe stands on the issues but at least we know he doesn't like redistribution of wealth. Plus 1 for RP.

Well to be fair, most Republicans don't like redistribution of wealth in rhetoric. He's going to have to be much more specific than that to really know anything.
