New Attack Ad Against RP

The airing of this needs to be preempted. Gary Bauer needs to be charged with slander. This doesn't even come close to spin - these are outright lies. And insults to the active military who support Ron. We need a plan to combat this. This will hurt Ron because this creep has pull.

I must be out of the loop or too new to the whole thing... I've never heard of this guy. However I already don't like him. What a pack of lies. Sad part is that when ppl see this they won't even have anything cross reference these claims with. All RP's ads have author citations and House Bill #'s and stuff like that cause they are true and can be backed up by fact and ink on paper.... These can't do that cause they're just lies, but no one will see cause as soon as they go off American Idol will come back on and all they will remember is the lie. This is the sad part of American dumbass Politics.... meh I digress.

I don't think that South Carolina is a state that can or should be ignored, especially when you consider that the Florida primary occurs shortly after it. This means that there needs to be a strong showing in at least one of these states, preferably both obviously.
This is just my own opinion, and I'm sure that other people here are smarter about this stuff than me, but I really think that the foreign policy issue, and therefore the Israel issue, needs to be addressed much more in-depth and in a massive advertisement strategy as quickly as possible - at least in South Carolina.

- James Woolsey heading up the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, with Bill Kristol, Gary Bower, Robert McFarlane and Newt Gingrich on board

Further connections to Newt:
1. James Woolsey and Robert McFarlane are advisors to Newt's campaign.
2. Newt Gingrich, James Woolsey and Bill Kristol shared board seats on the Committee for the Liberation of Iraq, founded by a former Lockheed Martin VP with the sole purpose of promoting the overthrow of Saddam Hussein
3. James Woolsey was on the Pentagon's Defense Policy Board along with Newt Gingrich
4. Both James Woolsey and Newt Gingrich were advisors to the Committee on the Present Danger, a Cold War-era, anti-Soviet group, which was resurrected in June 2004 by group of militarist policy figures to support an aggressive "war on terror."

Now if you look at their profiles (Gary Bauer, Bill Kristol, Rachel Abrams) these guys are possibly the most neoconservative people in the world and yield a dizzying amount of power. This ad is NOT about Israel, or even about helping Newt out. It is about smearing Ron Paul, who refuses to pander to a small group of neocons and as such threatens their power.

You know, the Israeli lobby really isn't doing itself any favors, by being so nasty and deceitful. I think their approach is going to blow up in their faces. For instance, I used to be very pro-Israel. But, after years of witnessing this type of dishonest bile, I wouldn't piss on Israel, if it were on fire. They are really turning people off with their whole "screw you, we're special" shtick. It's wearing thin.
