They should move a motion that the delegates cannot vote for flip-floppers at the National Convention. Or that no candidate who has claimed that Obamacare was a copy of his policies can receive the votes of delegates.

i don't want to read this whole thread to find what i need... Even thought the delegates are bound to Romney, is it our guys who are the Romney delegates? this would be good for VP and other party business at the convention right?

Yep, 22 out of 25

Now there's some speculation that they could abstain from voting in round 1 in Tampa, but then I also heard that the GOP will just replace them with alternates if that happens, but I don't pretend to know.

So hang on. Even IF all the pro-Paul delegates were to abstain on the first vote. Wouldn't the number Romney needs decrease to under 1144? There are 2286 delegates. Take 400 away. Leaves 1886. Wouldn't Romney then need only 984 or so to take it first round? Say 800 abstain. 1486 left. Romney would then need 744? Until this is clarified we need to stop with the abstention stuff.

The other issue is actually winning five states to have Paul's name on the ballot. Right now we have Maine, Iowa and Minnesota, but I'm not sure where we get the other two from.

Not on the first ballot, NV will not be one of the five. Missouri could be fifth state.
