The fact that this guy is treated like a rock star in GOP circles and considered a tea party darling is the reason why I will never associate with the "tea party" or GOP again.

Remember that AmConMag article from Pat Buchanan posted here a few days ago where Bill Kristol was bragging about playing a role in kicking all the Goldwater/Paul types out of the inner GOP circles? Well this is who they were replaced with. "Small-government constitutionalists" like Allen West and Marco Rubio.

This is the kind of thing that makes me think that I can no longer be associated with the Republican Party, if Romney somehow becomes President. If Romney becomes President and starts a war with Iran, the Republican Party will go down in flames, just like they did when Bush was President. I think I may want to be off the ship when the ship sinks.

Unless Ron Paul, I'm already out - going back to Libertarian. I won't accept for one minute a candidate who runs on threats of war with countries like Russia and China. That's ridiculous. And threats of war on speculations that Iran will supply Hamas and Hezbollah a nuclear device - what crap? Candidates need to run on their diplomatic achievements and skills. Like Huntsman used to do during the debates. But the idiots didn't give him the time of day. This contest should be between Huntsman and Dr. Paul.

100% agreed. on top of turning out to be a NeoCon, West doesn't even try to be "small-government" when its POPULAR to be small-government. at least SOME R's voted against the debt ceiling increase, he didn't...

and the conservatives/gun-owners here eat the shit right out of his hand. but some of them at least feel betrayed by Rubio.

Rubio, I dont know much about him, but he seems like another chicken hawk. Politicians who vote "yes" to war should go to the front lines to command or volunteer their children to the military.
