Nearly 7,000 Troops, Tanks and Parachute Jumps: Army Confirms Military Parade Coinciding with Trump's Birthday

I understand Rand's point.

But there is a long history of military parades in both DC and across the country.

One of those pics was taken just as we got into a war and the other two just after we got out of one.

Did we just get into a war? If that is the reason for this, how do you explain it being preplanned before the war started?

Where have you been?

The Small Hat Club has had us at war my whole life, every year since the end of WWII, we've been at war.

Well yeah, but we haven't been spending millions of dollars on military parades every year during that time. And I understand that this is, on the books at least, to celebrate the birthday of the the UIS Army. But to find the real precedent for this particular parade you have to go to North Korea where they hold such parades for their supreme leader on his birthday. I mean, the guy even wanted this during his first term in office. And they certainly could have arranged for it to be held somewhere where it wouldn't tear up the streets.

Do you suppose there's any truth to the rumor that Kim Jong Il will loan Trump his daddy's Lincoln?

Trump's mug should fill that picture frame nicely.

I'm trying to wrap my head around this. It's a parade of Army military personnel and assets, but they're bringing in outside personnel to secure it? The Army's bodyguard? Do they have bodyguards when they're sent to war?

Large security presence expected to secure Trump's military parade, festival
Thousands of law enforcement officers from across the country will arrive in Washington to assist in security, and land, air and water assets are deployed in an effort to secure the event, which coincides with President Donald Trump's 79th birthday.

I was wrong. It certainly wasn't a Russian May Day Parade, or Chinese National Day Parade, or North Korean Great Leader parade:

It's my party, and I'll cry if I want to. Melania almost looks like she's holding suppressed laughter ("Really, husband. This is what you wanted")

And in Boston, the "No KIngs" parade conveniently coincided with the Pride Parade, and it was an - wait a minute (the same robot dogs from Boston Robotics as were in the Trump Parade appear, but festooned in rainbow colors)
... The gays have developed robot dogs as well? The gays - the gays have the advanced technology? Or, are those just the gay robot dogs that Secretary of Defense Hegseth wouldn't allow to serve openly in our other army? Is that - they're not allowed to serve.
