So I just watched an NBC Nightly News political segment (which kicked off the broadcast) and what do you know, they talked about how Mitt Romney is doing well in New Hampshire first, and literally said NOTHING negative about him. During the same segment they showed Michelle Bachmann talking about how her Iowa campaign chairman was paid all this money to go to Ron's campaign (imagine that). They also talked about Santorum and Perry before finally getting to the LEADER in Iowa. And as usual, they threw in a bunch of little remarks here and there... how Ron Paul's most fervent supporters are closet Libertarians, how some people view Ron Paul's supporters as being on the "fringe", and, of course, the old standby... "Many of Paul's supporters wish that he would run 3rd party as an Independent".

I don't have a problem with being considered a Libertarian, or even an Independent, the problem that I have with the media throwing these words around is that they're doing it for the sole purpose of trying to make mainline Republicans doubt Ron Paul and the liberty movement. ANNOYING!!!

This was almost the same thing the CBS evening
news did tonight. Leading segment was about all GOP
candidate except Paul. The second segment
was about "the wild card" Ron Paul. They used crapy
audio and creative editing to make him look bad.
It's amazing how the Powers That Be follow the same script. I just hope more people wake up to this sham.

You hit the nail on the head. I remember watching NBC Nightly News after the first debate in May. Through video editing, they totally changed what Ron actually said and a particular point that he was trying to make at the debate.

At the debate he said something along the lines of "What you're saying is that if we legalize heroin tomorrow, then everyone will use heroin.". They edited the clip so it made it seem like he said, "if we legalize heroin tomorrow, then everyone will use heroin". This last quote is the exact opposite of the point he was making.
