National Review: Rand Paul’s War

Too bad succeeding presidents don't have time machines. But like I earlier said, you can't be paralyzed by "who started it" when doom is perilously occurring in realtime, whether it be the CIA's fault or whomever.

You can't go around throwing gasoline on a fire either or even throwing water on a grease fire. That just makes the damn fire worse. This "there is a crisis so we gotta do something" logic is what got us crap like TARP.

Bullshit. A million times bullshit. Do you really not understand how insipidly hypocritical you are being?

YOU do NOT get to invoke historical events (like the Cuban Missile Crisis) - and THEN turn around and babble inanely (and with complete & utter irrelevance) about "presidents not having time machines" when your argument is shown to be invalid nonsense.

But by all means - go on pretending that you can ignore the Law of Cause and Effect and arrive at anything even remotely sane or sensible. Go on pretending that you can ignore the antecedents to consequences and still end up in a world where "doom" is not "perilously occurring in realtime." We can all of us see - right now in "realtime" - the inevitable results of that attitude in the world around us (Iraq, Syria, Iran, spending, debt, etc., etc., etc.) ...
