Nate Silver has Ron Paul in 3rd in S.C with 16.4% (possibly as high as 30%)

People saying Newt should win SC are dead wrong.. That will help the media kill OUR narrative of Dr. Paul being the anti-Romney and also Gingrich would use the win as "evidence" that he will be the nominee.

No, Gingrich needs to come in anything BUT first. As for Dr. Paul, he NEEDS to be in the top three so our narrative of him being the only candidate who can compete with Romney NATIONALLY can have a solid continuation.

If Ron manages to win SC I think he would sweep the caucus states before Super Tuesday. Winning SC would be absolutely huge if we can pull it off.

If we get anywhere close to 20% that should be an indication that our base is strong and true. I just having a feeling we may pull some huge upset here. Wishful thinking perhaps.
No wishing, make the upset happen guys

In my opinion, getting to 17% would be great in SC. If somehow 20% is reached, we should have a parade and marching band.

What's best for Paul is a win, what's 2nd best for Paul is Newt winning with Paul in 2nd with Mitt in 3rd and Santorum 4th, Perry beats Huntsman for last. Huntsman drops!

I agree, we do not want Newt gaining any momentum. I'd much rather see another Romney win, we already know it'll be him in the long run, what we want is Ron Paul to be the one fighting it out with Romney. There are a lot of people who do not like Romney, even his own voters are only voting for him because of electability.

Paul winning SC would cement him as front runner. It would also cause Gingrich, Santorum, Perry and Huntsman to drop. Pretty much assuring RP the nomination. I can hear Hannity and Limbaugh crying now.

I disagree, 2nd best scenario for Paul would be Romney 1st, Paul 2nd. We want to eliminate the rest and make this Romney vs Paul. I'm already seeing people who were anti-Paul (pro-Santorum/Newt) that are already considering Ron Paul because they do not want Romney.

This is why I've been screaming at the top of my lungs for a Paul Vs Obama TV ad with policy and polling showing Ron can beat Obama. Mitt is already separating himself from the pack as if its just him and Obama in speeches and soon to be ads.

yep....and the longer they flounder, the better we look.

Agreed. Taking on Obama more in his Stump speeches would do him well.

They're tearing each other down with negative ads, once they've spent their millions and successfully convinced the people that they are both corrupt, Ron Paul swoops in with an ad about corruption. Not a negative ad exactly, more positive than negative. Just saying Ron Paul is not corrupt and a Ron Paul Presidency will end the corruption. People already believe that he's not corrupt, so this wouldn't have to even change their minds, it would just be a perfectly-timed reminder, and might be enough to push him up over the top for a win.

+1

Hopefully the moneybomb is big enough to let them commit an extra million or two to SC.

I think both Perry and Huntsman will drop after South Carolina for sure. I'm hoping Santorum gets 4th though so he considers dropping as well. Gingrich staying in won't be bad but we need Santorum and Perry out ASAP.

Someone confirm this, but, I remember hearing from multiple sources that SC voters do NOT like negative ads. I hope the campaign is pumping all of their positive ads while everyone else kills each other.

It either needs to be Romney or Paul in 1st...Can't let any other candidate be the anti Romney but us.

After reading this article, it looks like Newt could perform the same as he did in Iowa if the attack ads work as they did there. There are only negative ads playing in SC for Newt and no positive ads.

I've contacted two cousins in South Carolina this week...both were not going to vote, but I persuaded both to vote for Paul. They're also seeing what friends they can get to vote for him too. I also have a democrat friend at USC over there who I might be able to persuade to vote for Paul...

This is what all of us should be doing for every state. If you know someone in a state with an upcoming primary, contact them!!

Talk to your democrat friend and see if he can get more people on board too. What a win/win situation.
