Nader Considering Run-Will We Lose Any People to Him?

Bloomberg is a democrat on most issues. Pro gun control and all that fun stuff.

I don't know much about this Nader guy. I've heard of him though. Is he a good man or the average political snake? Is he pro war or anti war? Anybody know his stances on illegal immigration or the economy? Sorry but I'm too lazy to do the research. ;)

I agree that this is the year a third party or Indy candidate can win. I wish Ron Paul would reconsider. :(

Nader is the guy who killed the Chevy Corvair with trumped up about the car's safety. The auto industry hates his guts.

He's really anti-business to a fault.

I'd never vote for him because he would use big-government actions to carry out his agenda.

Nader would hurt the Democrats some but he doesn't have enough support to win.

I'd love to see a few more people jump into this race, muddy the water and allow the very focused Revolution to win the White House.

Ross Perot? I was surprised he didn't throw his support behind Ron Paul. I guess I'm a bit unclear as to his stances.

I respect guys like Nader and Kucinich but I'd be hypocritical now if I endorsed policies I detest, by voting for them, after giving hell to all of my friends who did this very thing.

Being that you have a greater chance of dieing in a car accident on the way to the polls, over your own individual vote deciding an election, I'm not going to sacrifice principle to give a 50% candidate my endorsement of his failed policies.

If McCain gets the 1,191 on the first ballot, and if the CP picks somebody like Keyes over Chuck Baldwin, and the LP guy is not a Constitutionalist, than I'm writing in Ron Paul of course.

If Perot, Nader, or Bloomberg enter the race then a 3rd party run by Paul would get lost. The media would spend far more time focusing on any one of them over Paul.

Watch the journalism.org report for this coming week and you'll see.. Nader will get more coverage than Paul - even if Nader doesn't enter the race.

Would that be because Nader doesn't threaten the status quo like Ron does?

why would a ron paul supporter vote for nader?? nader is a dope. although I love how his supporters protested his exclusion from the debate.

Apparently, Ross Perot is also looking into running for President.

No way, he's 77. He [idid[/i], however, intend run ads swiftboating McCain. Not sure if he's still doing that now that the media's declared him a lock.

RP hasn't hinted towards a 3rd party run. I don't see how Nader or Bloomberg would cut into RP's voters, or really any other true conservative candidate. I think we should try and help both Nader and Bloomberg just so they could steal votes from Obama/Hill/McPain.

Frankly, I despise Bloomberg, not for his policies, as I don't know about it but for his waffling about his interest in being a candidate. He's denying any interest while there is a committee looking into the feasibility. If he can't say this, he doesn't deserve to be POTUS

Good man. Honest. He is against Corporatism and the two party system.

Only problem is he thinks government can solve the nation's ills. He is a "true believer" in liberalism. In a better political system the general election would feature Ron Paul vs Ralph Nader and we would have a REAL debate over the extent to which government should be involved in our lives. In such a scenario I could actually respect BOTH candidates but would work like hell to get RP elected. In our current political system it appears I will respect NEITHER the Republican or Democtratic nominee. Sad... :(
