My "opt-out" experience at the aiport.

And who said anything about a bar? I worked at night clubs where patrons sometimes brought in drugs and weapons. I pulled several items off of those guys through pat downs.

Nope,, not even.
Ain't gonna happen. And after the fight at the doorway I would find some place more respectful to spend my money.
because I would do my very best to knock your ass out if any "security" attempted this entering an establishment.

That is seriously rude, and I can't imagine any free man accepting that kind of treatment.
NO Venue is worth that indignity.

Please refrain from making personal attacks against those who simply share information and engage in civil discourse with other members.

what is it that mad arab said? that has rpf folks in a hissy? bottom line i dj and work at clubs. If you do not want to be frisked and go into a club and dance with a fine lady you brought with you or is inside .Then do not go in? It is that simple. If you really want to go into a private business and they are checking then go or don't. But do not attack this user for saying or doing his job. I do not want your ass in the club if they have not checked you for weapons. some ron paul purists are getting overboard!

if your not willing to be checked for weapons in a private club. Then i do not want you in the club stay home or find some dive bar!

My opt out is refusing to take a plane for any reason until this molest-or-irradiate-everybody scheme comes to an end.

exactly i have not been on an airplane for a long time. I did bite the bullet for ron paul cpac dc! I opt out of flying period!

By the way, "Mad Arab," your post spacings, post quantity, timing, user name, length of posts, etc. have all the signs of an amateur. Go back to the drawing board and practice on some other forums. Come back when you're more interesting.

seriously?? ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ shakes my head !! facepalm

Then don't go to such a venue. There are plenty of bars and clubs out there that attract a less risky crowd. The choices are endless.

When I was off of work one night, a guy got into a fight with a girl and cut up her face and head so badly, she needed about 300 stitches. I don't know who was working security that night, but I was pretty good at finding knives and other weapons. I may have been able to remove the blade from the guy at the door, or just send him on his way. The bottom line is that not all venues can function safely without security, pat-downs included. At the very least, it usually works well enough as a deterrent.

Unfortunately, we don't have as many choices in flying options as we do in bars and clubs. That's why it's a serious issue.

It does get scary. When people behaved this way in their support for Obama, we mocked them and called them Obamabots. I'd like to think Paul supporters are better than that.

Oh you can bet on that.
I would rather not hang around a place that would
1, attempt to disarm me.
2.not respect the privacy of my person.

The music is better in the Biker Bars anyway.

If I every want or need to fly (and I doubt I will), I will talk to a private pilot.

Why would you need to be armed at a bar?

Why would you need to be armed at a bar?

Why would you need to be disarmed?
Does a bar room full of armed men (and women) bother you?
Some of the very best parties of my life have been such. And NO ONE got shot.

As a point of fact,, I am disarmed these days (well mostly) and am rather displeased about it.

I would prefer to be armed 24/7 regardless of location.

I'm a full supporter of the 2nd Amendment and I love guns. But alcohol and guns don't always mix. Maybe the places you hang out at attract a very mild crowd, but many bars and clubs in big cities tend to attract a lot of violent douche bags and thugs. Besides, when I go out socially I like to be as light as possible. I don't care to be strapped with extra weight just so I can be Charlie Bronson amongst my friends.

I avoid cities, as much as possible.
Violent Douche bags and thugs ya say.. I could explain the reason for that.
GUN CONTROL

You see in a free(and Armed) society they would not be allowed to exist,
(read that,, would have been shot dead long ago)

And if you think I only party with a mild crowd,,,
Pirates, Bikers, Shrimpers etc. are not generally considered a mild crowd.
They can be some good people though,, if you aren't fucking with them.

The down town metro-sexual crowd is not really my thing. I can see how some predators might target their hangouts.

In all fairness, alcohol and glass don't mix, either, yet they GIVE you a bottle or a glass to drink out of. You have knives, you have all kinds of other things, and in a lot of places you have alcohol and lighters (smokers are still allowed).

so I'm not familiar with the entire debate...so don't scold me...but don't you have the option to not fly? you can drive, ride a bus, walk... if they were to say, strip down naked, then no 99% of people wouldn't fly, and they would change policy...

They could require strip searches to use the highways too, and I bet people would avoid using them, but that doesn't make it okay. The roads are supposed to be ours, not the government's. The government can't just intervene in everything and expect us to not use those things. Eventually, the government is just going to keep expanding its grasp to other things, then what will we have left to do?

I luv da gubmit and dey keeps us safe!!!!11 so I go tru stripsearch extra cuz I luvz me sum safety! Doze ajents can do all dat stuff to me cuz I luvz Merica!

If the business feels it is in their best interest to do this, then they have every right to. If I want to go in anyway, then I'm not going to pretend I'm too special for it. Sure, I could go to another club, but as it pertains to clubs and individual businesses, it is always a game of weighing the risks for the benefits, and you always have options.

This is where I insert a few of those ROFL icons.

Your posts of Santorum, Paul, the bible, TSA, and now guns are about as mundane as trolling gets. Please don't make your next thread about capitalism or home schooling. If you really want to be interesting, maybe you can tell us how Obama has been under a lot of pressure lately.

Absolutely. I've seen guys get hit in the head with bottles as well. The point is, the fewer weapons the better. Most people just wanna chill and have fun.
