My First Vote Cast for RON PAUL! (NC)

You went outside of the lines. The vote does not count.

You just handed the election to Obama. Way to go.

:p

I've got a strong feeling that amendment will pass.

More than likely. Many Evangelicals that like the idea of defence of principles without understanding the deeper ramifications of the amendment as written.

Yeah, I've lived here long enough to know how many of these "conservatives" think. I also expect Newt to have a strong showing, even though he dropped out.

Went to my polling place at 8:00am, and was voter #60-something. Was a small line, so I think turnout seems respectable with 2008.

LOL. I saw a Newt yard sign on the way to the booth. Still. Was gonna stop for some last minute politicking but no car in the drive.

My polling place was absolutely packed when I went at 9. Couldn't even get a parking spot. A bunch of Ron Paul signs there though! I'm guessing turnout will probably be significantly higher than 2008.

Oh yeah, and I voted for that Ron Paul guy. Hopefully he at least performs respectably in my extremely liberal, Democrat-dominated county...

Polls close in another hour. The magic number for Paul from the primary is 11.5% because then all six declared Paul delegates from district conventions, will be able to vote for him on the first ballot in Tampa.

Every 1.92% beyond that, is another delegate on the at-large slate we earn.

The turnout will be significantly higher than 2008 because of Amendment 1. Early voting statistics and reports from the polls have confirmed this.

Voted this afternoon! Wish I had known about all the RLC-endorsed state and local candidates, but I did vote for RP, Beitler, Steinberg, and against the marriage amendment.

Voted for the marriage amendment and most importantly, for RP. My 22 year old daughter and my soon to be 18 year old daughtercast her first vote ever for The Champion of Liberty! My eighty three year old father and my USMC veteran husband voted for him as well.

Just getting back from working the polls. I live in a heavily democratic area and spent most of my time discussing libertarian philosophy with the two Republican women passing out literature there. One of them was pretty much hopeless, but I had a very good conversation with the other. She was a Romney supporter, but very unenthusiastic about him, and pretty sympathetic to Ron Paul. She even brought up his wins in Nevada and Maine and how she felt that the mainstream media was very unfair to him. We didn't agree on everything, and it was too late to make a difference in this primary, but the brushfires of freedom were definitely started. It was actually pretty encouraging.

Anyway, go Ron Paul! For liberty!

Just got back on! :D

I'm sunburnt from campaigning all day xD I met this one lady campaigning for a liberal Democrat for Congress, and may have just won her over to Ron Paul! She doesn't really want Obama again because of his positions on, you guessed it, the War on Drugs and the War in the Middle East.

Anyways, yes, I voted for all the RLC endorsed candidates in my district. (There were pretty much only state-wide offices.)

Someone in the thread posted for Vance Patterson for the 11th, but I voted for Mark Meadows instead. Other Ron Paul supporters are voting for Kenny West, and some for different ones. Needless to say, RP-ers are split in the 11th and there is no one person to vote for.

But anyways... :) I'm just going to sit back, relax, and watch the results come in.....while putting aloe on my sunburns.
