My Dog looks really bad...

What foods do you feed him? See what brands, and more importantly, where they are made. If they are made in China... well, just see.

Secondly, does he have diarrhea? Check. This could be an infection.

If he is vomiting ... this could mean poisoning. Check the gum lines, check the teeth... make sure you have no open cans of poison (antifreeze is a big one, because it smells sweet to dogs and tastes sweet to them too).

Dogs shouldn't be eating food that has been contaminated with bacteria from flies. They could have easily landed on his waste, then landed on his food.

A meat/vegetable/rice mix is one of the healthiest mixes you can give dogs. Canned soft food like what I think you said they give him can lead to constipation, or the other way around - diarrhea.

Well, George has now marked the photo as not his dog, just looks like.

Anyway... I have never heard of a vet who won't treat a very sick animal and bill later.

Thank you guys for the input - It looks like she really needs a vet - I think they are making her some type of mexican herb tea...?

I had my last dog die from parvo.... I'll try and convince them to take her to the vet

oh lets all just pour our hearts out over this sick dog.....while our men and women and millions of innocent iraqis die over our WAR ON TERROR, we care for a sick dog.....PATHETIC!!!

Yeah, that observation popped up in another thread. I still say he doesn't qualify until his truck breaks down and he has to ride the train, though.

And he has to ride it by jumping into an open boxcar. . .

Hey George...How is the pup today?
If it had parvo it usually only takes about 48 hours before they pass away. You will know if you had one with parvo before there is a very distinct smell to their feces. Bad news if she is hiding in the bushes ,though.

Being so close to Easter might have gotten ahold of chocolate which for smaller dogs is especially lethal...Feed stores carry shots for about $7-10 as opposed to the $100+ you will pay at the vets to prevent parvo+ other common dog diseases. You just make sure it goes under the skin. Cheap fix if you can't afford any vets right now.

Hope everything is looking better with the pup today....
