Musicians for the D.C. March

I'll second the above request for NIN.

I'll also add in "Tori Amos" - who speaks of the "Maddness of King George" on her latest album.

KMFDM - whose tracks over the years include "Not In My Name", "A Drug Against War", WWIII, etc.

Ministry - Al Jourgenson is a long time study of American history; anti-establishment, but I'm not sure he's rooting for, so.......

You're going to need some bigger names. I've never heard of the bands now on the list. At least you can try to get bands like Rush to play, I know they support the message.

i fourth tori amos and NIN.

though, I think reznor's a liberal. but yeah, someone contact him if ya can. ;)

Melanie

How about Melanie Safka.

She was at Woodstock - a great anti-war protest - and she is, by her own description, a "total libertarian".

ummmm... music is primary FUEL that feeds the Revolution

Were you too old for the 60s Revolution when it was happening then too?

John Mayer? I saw a youtube of him looking kind of drunk yelling about how great ron paul was. Lets get in touch with that guy! How cool would that be...........

So any more ideas on how we could get an answer from him?

Also, apparently Marc Scibilia has not been formally invited to perform. Is there anyone responsible for organizing the musicians?

I guess it's just me, but having musicians play there seems to lower the maturity level a few notches.

Ron Paul said we should have musicians perform there.

Do you want millions to come to the March?

If we want millions of people to come on July 12th then we gotta ask couple well-known celebrities who supports Ron Paul. This will be a great way to promote. If we inform people that Aimee Aleen and Enimen are coming to sing then I guarnettee the March and Capitol Hill will be totally packed with millions and millions! We gotta send them an invitation. I'm glad Marc Scibila's confirmed to come and we should have a good variety of musicians for EVERYONE of any age, race, religion, language!

Has anyone [thought of/contacted/know] any Fife and Drums, for the actual March part of this shindig?
