Gee, I interpreted RP's point as saying that young people recognize the issue isn't complex, whereas older people read more into than is actually there. It was a compliment to the younger generation.
Good save.Yeah, apparently generation X is already out of college. I was not aware of this until within the past year or so.
I really don't like being part of "generation Y." It sounds so lame.

Yeah, it seems more like he was trying to say that these ideas are simple, so they resonate, instead of the pseudo-intellectual blather that we get from the self-appointed smarty-pants crowd. It seems like the spin in this article isn't too favorable.
