MTV News on Ron Paul

what was with the 'faux-pas' statement in the last paragragh?? If anybody checks out his policy it isn't complex!!

I don't follow the last paragraph of the article. Must be some form of bias (perhaps subconscious).

They're trying to spin it and say he was saying young people can't understand economic policies, but they understand his because it isn't complex. That is not what he was saying.

Calling them Gen Y instead of Gen Xer's?

Yeah, apparently generation X is already out of college. I was not aware of this until within the past year or so.

I really don't like being part of "generation Y." It sounds so lame.

Edit: I'm not in Generation Y. I'm in Generation Paul :D

too bad all we'll hear from MSM is how RP "insulted young peoples' intelligence..."

Gee, I interpreted RP's point as saying that young people recognize the issue isn't complex, whereas older people read more into than is actually there. It was a compliment to the younger generation.

Ron Paul said in his summation that his message is not complex. Nothing negative about it. It was actually inspiring to watch.

That's exactly what I "heard," as well.

Good save. :P

I was born at the end of '89, what does that make me. :p

Yeah, it seems more like he was trying to say that these ideas are simple, so they resonate, instead of the pseudo-intellectual blather that we get from the self-appointed smarty-pants crowd. It seems like the spin in this article isn't too favorable.

EXACTLY!

Why was it taken as a slam to the young people? It isn't complex for ANY age - that was his point.

Now, to misinterpret that statement does make me question someone's intelligence.

But then again the writer is from Manhatten - a supremely Democratic/Hillary loving city. Manhatten got Hillary in the Senate.

I don't think I have ever witnessed another human being have so much trouble getting props. For every single positive they have to add a negative. Makes me love him even more.

I have a feeling the author of the article wouldn't understand Paul's policies. ;)

The guy writing the article was obviously trying to get the news bias incorporated into his article. He was complimenting the youth and saying that idiots in Washington try to turn it into a complex issue to young people...suggesting that young people understand that it is not a complex issue. I find it funny...he finally gets a fair interview with a decent amount of time, but they still go out of their way to fit their bias into it.
