Also, she strategically quits just in time to bag a lifetime pension.

Almost a profile in courage, but fell a bit short.

Why didn't they then? Why did it only happen when Trump got elected?

Why did permanently lowering the tax rates only happen when Trump got elected?

Why did English being the official language of the United Stares and the border getting closed only happen when Trump got elected?

The neocons had 8 years in the presidency and the democrats had 12 years.

So they collectively had 20 years where they could have done it if that was their policy.

Where is your evidence that they would have done the same thing?

If thats your standard then you could always just claim someone is a neocon no matter what their policy is.

If a neocon can have any policy then its not even a real political platform because theres no definitive political philosophy.

George Washington? Yeah he was a neocon. His polices were just what they were at the time because of time.

This forum tried to "teach me" when they said Rand Paul wasn't libertarian enough.

I guess I am Charlie Brown kicking the football here because at this point if he were president you could make the same dumb argument about him and call him a neocon with your definition of anything that he would be doing is because of time.

Whatever you think of MTG, her trajectory as a member of Congress is far closer to the Founders' vision -- an ordinary apolitical person gets inspired to run, avoids being a creature of DC, stays a few years and returns to normal life -- than the cadre of career professional politicians who do nothing but spend their lives running for office and always plotting how to move up and living almost entirely in DC, far from their "constituents."

Voluntarily relinquishing office is far more noble than spending decades desperately and permanently clinging to power and position even when you're so old you don't know your name or where are you.

 
If you've decided to leave your job, I don't see what's so "wild" about waiting a month and half until you're fully vested in your pension (or whatever other benefits you're scheduled to qualify for).

In fact, it seems like the brain-dead obvious thing to do - which makes the idiots complaining about it seem even less than brain-dead.
