I see what you're saying, but people base much of their decision making on emotions. "The scary Muslims are going to kill us all", while laughably inane, persuades people more than "the government is on track to throw you in prison without a trial." People for some reason cannot figure out the relative probabilities of each assertion.

The media has reverted to full on Ron Paul blackout, they don't even mention him in articles about the race, they refer to only 3 candidates, we don't even exist in the minds of most voters at this point.
