Most influential rock band of the past 15 years supports Paul.

Being a Seattle guy in his thirties, I have followed Grohl and Co. since they began. Great to hear that it if its true. They (He) are (is) influential in some circles but widespread, probably not going to do much to add votes to Paul. Cool nonetheless.
Grohl is definitely a talented artist and more than just musically.

To UnRecon-
they saved us all from years of tight pants, camel toe, and big hair- start paying your homage.
:D

Ummm.........that would be Sonic Youth and The Pixies. Just ask Kurt Cobain who his idols were. Nirvana's music had nowhere near the same quality.

Krist Novocelic has donated to the campaign. I have a screenshot of his donation on September 18th during the September Constitution Week, at or before 1:15pm.

Krist

Krist Novoselic is a left-libertarian and spoke at the 2006 LP convention. He's really big on election reform! Go Krist!

Biggest band of the last 15 years? Hardly. Still a great endorsement though. It'll win over the 12-17 female vote ;)

Have many people tried emailing bands for endorsements?

Radiohead will be the big one, and they're not afraid to speak up about the views they stand for. Thom Yorke even refused meeting the Prime Minister of the UK because he didn't agree with his policies. And he CERTAINLY doesn't agree with the war.

However, energy may be a bit of a shitty issue to sell to them.

I'll try and stir up a bit of discussion on the Radiohead forums and give them an email. I'll do the same for Muse aswell.

If you know any local bands, email them! People who listen to rock are very likely to stand up for freedom! If we can get as many musicians as possible on board, the word will spread like wildfire and we'll be a very formidable force.

Also, the music scene is influenced a lot by fashion. If we can make it 'cool' for bands and fans to support Ron Paul, then not only will have we have the doctors and economists on our side, but also the musicians. Such a diverse mix will be difficult to overcome.

I thought I ad heard or seen somewhere that they did endorse RP. I had also never heard of them. Now I did notice they were on the grammies, and I just listened to their song. Altho a bit harder rock than I usually like, I really enjoyed listening to them and the Pretender song was pretty cool. I couldn't understand much of the lyrics, but saw them written in here, and not bad. Wearing a RP T-shirt would be the same as wearing a PEACE NOW t-shirt in the 60's. Either one would do. ANyone who supports RP especially if they are getting media attention, ought to make it known.
