More Troops: Why Trump's ISIS Strategy Will Fail

It all depends on what they consider failure and success. ISIS has been doing everything in their power to draw the Americans into the war. Everything from the spectacular beheading of western journalists to their leader making threats against the west from inside Syria. At first Obama tried to get American troops but the people through their reps rejected that proposition. Then Hillary tried to do the same with his very hawkish foreign policy and yet again the people sorta rejected it.

Now I think Trump would succeed where everyone else failed. Believe me, if the goal is what I think it is i.e to wrestle Syria away from Iran and Russia and further destabilize another Middle east country for the benefit of Israel, they would succeed.

You cannot get rid of terrorism by disrupting an organization. (Especially, using force. That will have the opposite effect.)

Didn't we learn this lesson, yet? Our government can't even control aberrant ideologies in our own country even though they control schooling and media - you think they can transform an ideology overseas?! The folly of thinking this can be done is laughable.
