Montana: Brian Schweitzer not running for Senate

I'd actually prefer Schweitzer to a hardcore neocon. It's only a win if we get the right guy the GOP nomination.
 
He's only disinterested because he's running for president. Once he sees that an anti-globalism, pro-gun, fiscally conservative democrat can't win he will change his tune about the senate.

I worked in Montana during the 2012 election, and their biggest problem is that all of the Californians are fleeing their state and invading the other western states, such as Montana skewing it to the left during elections. It didn't help that Romney was such a pathetic candidate that many Republicans didn't bother getting out to vote and that hurt a lot of downticket races.
 
Champ Edmunds is the best of the candidates currently running. He met with Rand recently.
 
I don't think we have any liberty candidates that could win. The preacher guy won't cut it in Montana so I won't bother mentioning his name.

First off he isn't running as a Republican, and secondly, he wants to run an educational campaign, not a campaign that will get him elected.

Is Chuck Baldwin running at all? It would be a complete waste of time to run for Senate as a member of the Constitution Party.
 
Champ and Stapleton will both drop out if Daines enters the race which is likely as Daines ramped up his fundraising last quarter in anticipation of a Senate run.

Chuck will probably run as a Republican if he decides to run. Aren't you the admin for the Draft Baldwin Facebook page Smart3? There's been no activity on there at all really. Is Chuck actually interested in running? I personally can't think of a better liberty candidate in that state. I would have voted for him in 2008 for president were I eligible at the time.

He's shown no interest.
 
If Daines runs, then we'll have to get involved for the House race. We might have more luck with that anyway.
 
Jerry O' Neil is our best bet. Currently a state rep and formerly a state senator.
