MOCK NH PRIMARY at MERRIMACK MIDDLE SCHOOL RESULTS, LOL.

Obama got 92 votes in a Republican Primary at a middle school. Come on education system... get it in gear.

2008 Hillsborough County (where Merrimack is) Results:

Romney 35%
Paul 7%

(pretty accurate for the end results of NH)

2012 middle school mock primary results:

Romney 41.6%
Paul 32.5%

Hell, I don't care if it means nothing and it's just a middle school thing, but it shows there's hope for the future! We pummeled Huntsman with the youngins!

Haha the idea of middle schoolers saying that they support Romney (probably without any real reason) makes my head explode.

Pertinent Question - So how close were they to final results in '08?
Wildly off. There was a long list of high school mock primaries Ron won back in '08. He was popular with them, but not their parents. edit: pauliticalfan has info specifically for their area and it doesn't look too far off, though....

I would take the middle school one more serious than a high school one. The kids are more easily influenced by their parents. Highschoolers go online for everything so they'll be disproportionately leaning towards Ron Paul.

believe it or not i read a story from way back when clinton was running for president the first time, that analyzed the "kid polls" of the last couple cycles and noted that they were extremely accurate. apparently kids reflect their parents views or something to that effect. interesting, though probably not relevant.

I think the write-ins could've been Vermin Supreme. Heard he's been campaigning hard there, and even running ads at lunch.

What it does show is that the level of support is up. In relation to this particular poll, I find it very encouraging.

1. In 2008, it showed a fair assessmen of the true outcome (if not so, please let me know)
2. Being that it is middle school, most kids model what they know from their older siblings or/and parents.
..... a. This is important because it lends clarity where those who can vote, stand.

Though some of the other contenders are rather low on the list, that gives me pause so..hmm. go figure.
