Ron Paul himself said in the last debate the MLK is a hero of his for his work in Civil Rights. They both inspired a movement toward Peace, Liberty and Freedom. This is a valid similarity and the only one being recognized here as I stated.

No human is perfect and he did a lot of good too and got assasinated for it. Ron Paul acknowledges the good he did related to our cause and I think it's pretty crappy that a few of you want to begrudge the rest of us from acknowledging it too, especially when I am tying it to a donation drive to get Ron Paul more money.

I do not think that Dr. Paul has been trained by a Marxist cadre.

I do not think that Dr. Paul champions the welfare state.

I do not think that Dr. Paul champions the destruction of property rights of the individual over against some vague notion of "civil rights" for the collective or a group.

I do not think that Dr. Paul supports deficit spending.

I, too, am frankly taken about by this "positive" comparison of Dr. Paul to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Well, in the far future when people are trying to have money bombs on Ron Paul Day to support the candidates that follow in his steps there are going to be a lot of people on forums on the internet refusing to donate because of the Newsletters and the fact that his budget wasn't balanced for the first two years and for various other things.

I am aware of what Dr. Paul has said about Dr. King. I respectfully disagree with him there as I do with several positions he has; yet, I am a passionate supporter of his. The nexus of my agenda and Dr. Paul's agenda is as follows: he wishes to end the debasement of the currency and keep the general government from stealing my money, hard earned through the three I's: Income tax, Interest on Debt, and Inflation tax driven by fiat/counterfeit money; he wishes to get us out of foreign entanglements and stop the immoral, unconstitutional, and unnecessary wars in which the empire has involved us; he wishes to reduce the authority of the general government to the delegated and enumerated powers expressed by the states in their Constitution and to allow sovereignty to rest with the states and with the people thereof; he wishes to end the imperial Presidency and be the circumspect CEO which the Constitution allows; he wants to cut the budget, pay down the debt and balance the budget in three years.

Those things constitute the common ground between Dr. Paul and me. That is why I support him; that is why I am an apologist for him and an advocate for him; that is why I have donated according to my means to his campaign; that is why I intend to vote for him if the cabalists give me a chance to.

I am not the least interested in libertarianism, Randism, or mythologizing the civil rights movement. I assure you that there are several million people who think as I do. Many of them, in fact likely most of them, have not yet been won over. If you cannot be gracious with a minority opinion on an issue, you will quite likely be unlikely to win many such people over. On your particular thread of these fora I shall not again post.

Probably needs to be resized for the avatar requirements. I'll see if I can do it and repost it. When I tried to get a copy of the posters avatar of that pic to post for people to choose from, it said it was missing something. Glad to see you picked another for now. I will message you if I get a smaller one to work. Thanks and Reps. I think you make it $13 now.

Are you using the edit avatar and not the edit profile?

Also, it seems if people are copying the large one a poster added with Paul and MLK, it's not working because it is sized to big I think. Avatars need to be under 100 pixels in width and length. I am going to try to resize it and add it to the option choices in the first post. In the mean time try another from the first post. Thanks.
