Mississippi Man Arrested in Ricin Scare

Good news there.
Seems to me he has a good case for a law suit,, but is likely just relieved.

Absolutely. It is outrageous that this was made public and the guy was dragged through the mud, with no confirmation or evidence at all. Just a false positive from a completely unreliable detector.

Dammit, I wrote out a long post days ago with some tech info about the testing. It never posted.

Let's just say that I'm not surprised that it's turned out to be false positives--ricin is a protein that is very difficult to accurately detect and they've found absolutely nothing in the suspect's house that would make it possible for him to manufacture it. Thankfully, this poor fellow didn't even own a damned blender.

Remember what I've said about coffee machines being extractors? Every last thing in your kitchen is a terrorist device, or will be....

Every account I hear of his release is prefaced by, "Elvis impersonator, Paul Kevin Curtis." Show the man some respect and just call him by his name already.

Method of Operation.

It is the same all the time.. They were doing all they could to make him seem crazy,, or mentally inferior. So that no one would consider him possibly innocent.

Seems it started a decade ago,, when he had his own Cleaning Business and was contracted with the Hospital.
He allegedly found something odd (a fridge full of body parts) and reported it. He was fired,, threatened, and blackballed. He lost his business.(and his wife) and turned to entertainment to make a living (as a celebrity impersonator).

And now arrested and put in the public spotlight as a terrorist. (with no evidence).

Innocent till proven guilty.

perhaps there is an innocent explanation for the body parts in the fridge,, but based on what has been done to this man,, perhaps there should be a more thorough look into that.

The media loves its labels. Just go watch any news broadcast talking about anyone and they always preface it with something odd or catchy to describe the person. I've noticed that national news does things like - Elvis impersonator, anarchist, tea party member, gay, transgender and so on. But local news is much better about it they usually just say things like - local resident, or father of two or housewife.

The 24 hour news people just need something to grab you.
