I agree with McCain on this issue. Some illegals have paid their dues and have EARNED the right to live in America. Not everything is black and white, and especially when we deal with the livelihood of people- regardless of where they were born.

The main problem with illegal immigration is the burden left on the tax payer, as Ron Paul has mentioned, but what about the ones who aren't a burden on us? There are plenty illegals who work a hard days work for less than minimum wage- and are not protected as a normal employee would be.

If you ask me, what we need to do is find a way to reform the immigration process so that people aren't going around it.

This was the same exact logic used in the 70s, 80s, and 90s. Illegals saw the amnesty they were getting and became even more motivated to come. The problem got way worse. Cut their welfare and make them leave, that is the only real solution. There is a reason that Ron Paul is 100% against amnesty, he always talks about how it provides an incentive for them to come. Looking at our past, he's correct.

That's a true statement from Mccains perspective. Many here probably do not know that we have been enlisting Mexican citizens into our Military.

That also explians to some , the last comment made by McCain.

For those who do not know how the plan to create a North American Union is to go down, one of the hundreds of methods is to run short on voluntary Military personel (by starting more wars then we can handle) and for them to say, we have to get rid of our borders so we can expand our resources for enlisting people into the Military to fight the terrorists.

Same is going to happen with an economic collapse. Merging countries will be what they say will save our economy.

Good point. That is the path of globalism at work.

I agree that any illegals serving in the military/war should be granted citizenship. They have done more for this country than 99% of congress. If they are legal already they should be given a voucher to apply to an illegal parent.

Oh come on that's rude. Not everyone agrees on every issue. I agree with Dr. Paul on every issue except immigration. Does that mean I should go work for McCain, too?
